Into the Archives | 1949 RCA Victor Little Nipper Series "Bambi"

This next thing that I'm going to be featuring in my Into the Archives series, is special for fans of the following: Disney, 1940s, Records, and Shirley Temple. Why? It features all four of those categories, and besides those are some of my favorite things. Of course, everything I will be showing within this series are favorites of mine. Otherwise, why would I own them? haha...onto the show & tell part of what I'm sharing today.

What I Wore | 9th & Elm Parisian Tee

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? I'm doing okay. I came down with a sore throat last night, so I'm feeling kinda under-the-weather right now. Except I couldn't just stay home, as I had to go into the office for a couple hours, pick up some sick type foods, and fill up my car with gas.

Anyhow, today I'm going to be sharing with y'all the final item that I picked out from 9th & Elm. If you follow me on instagram, you would have already seen me wearing this tee. But if you haven't, I have that picture posted below. If you want to see the other posts I did featuring them, check the following posts out: What I Wore | Arrows Graphic Tee & Sponsors Love | June 2014.

Lime Ricki Swimsuit Line [Review]

Recently I was able to pick out a swimsuit from Lime Ricki's latest swimwear line [which was their Spring(?) line] to wear & review. To say the least, I was excited! As I had always wanted to try out their swimsuits, in fact, I almost bought one last November when I needed one for my trip to Florida at Christmas time. I didn't end up buying from them when I realized that, it wouldn't arrive to me in time before my since it was Holiday time and all. Anyhow, onto what suits I picked out and what I think on them.

What I Wore | Owl Prints are Classy

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing today? Today I have a few things going on, first off I have to go into the office to clean today, pick up a few groceries that I forgot, do some cleaning at home, water the garden, cook dinner, and attend a wedding invitation making party this evening at my Church. All in all, it is going to be a busy day. Oh, yes, I also have to do the voice-over for my makeup tutorial, before uploading it.

Saturday Shopping Haul

Hello everyone! How are y'all doing today? Last night I had a friend come over for a movie night & sleepover. We watched, The Book Thief and an episode of Doctor Who -- which was fun since I have only ever watched Doctor Who with my sisters. Anyhow, today I watched some TV, filmed a Marilyn Monroe inspired makeup tutorial, cleaned up the house a bit, and then headed out for some shopping at the mall. You see, I had some coupons for H&M and Kohl's that were going to expire soon, so of course I had to see what was in stores.

1. At Kohl's I picked up a pair of Cubic Zirconia stud earrings for dirt cheap. They were marked down for $2.40 + plus I had a 15% off coupon.

2. I also found a Lauren Conrad striped jumper [that is more of a summer weight] marked down to $10.80 + the 15% off coupon and a $5 off coupon.

Friday Adventures + OOTD

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing today? I'm doing okay. My family left for vacation early today, so I ran some errands to the grocery store, Costco, Starbucks, and Half-Price Books.

1. I was really excited to pick up some fresh mozzarella for some sandwiches that I saw on Pinterest at Trader Joe's. I have never had fresh mozzarella before, so I'm excited to try it out.

2. I had to pick up a iced chai tea latte from Starbucks, since I was all out of chai. Gotta have my caffeine fix.

What I Wore | Navy + Coral for Church

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? I have a busy week up ahead with work today, job interview tomorrow [and helping out with getting the newsletter out at my Dad's office], Senior's Luncheon on Wednesday, and saying goodbye to my family this weekend as they go on vacation. Yeah, that is a new experience for me, to not go on vacation with my family, but since I'm hoping to get a job I have to stay behind. Of course, this also means that there will be a shortage of outfit posts within the coming weeks, as my photographer won't be here with her lovely camera. Anyhow, onto my outfit that I wore to church yesterday.

Into the Archives | 1950s Coral Dress

Earlier today I didn't think I would be able to get a post up today, but as you can see, I was able to squeeze some time in for an Into the Archives post. :) Since y'all wanted to see some clothing from my collection, I decided to go with the one thing that isn't in storage right now and is on display in my room. For you see, I can't squeeze into my vintage clothing anymore since I don't have 27" waist anymore [which is what most of vintage clothing has], so I put everything into a rubbermaid in our garage. Eventually, I will have to pull them out and photograph them for this series. :) Anyhow, onto today's vintage 1950s dress!

What I Wore | Kelly Green & Grey + ONecklace Giveaway & Review

Hello lovelies! I have an outfit post, review, and giveaway post all rolled into one for y'all today. Fun times! Anyhow, I wore this outfit yesterday when I was running some errands with my sister, Hanne-col. We stopped off at Costco [to fill up my car with gas]; DSW Shoes; Half-Price Books [two locations]; a local fabric store called, The French Seam; Hancock Fabrics [we were helping a friend find some bridal fabric for alterations to her wedding dress]; and Chick-Fil-A for milkshakes. It was an awesome day! Also, can we all just thank Gaby for taking this amazing pictures! They kinda remind me of what you might find in an Anthropologie catalog.

Giift.com Review + Giveaway

Recently I was given the chance to try out a new website called, Giift.com for keeping track of your gift cards & how much money is left on them. You can also trade gift cards with your friends, if you don't like the one you have. To test out the website, I was able to partner up with Giift.com to trade for any store GC I wanted to have and spend. As you can see in the below image, I had several awesome stores to choose from: Amazon.com, Sephora, The Body Shop, Starbucks, Target, Gap, Nordstom, etc... After much thought, I finally decided on Starbucks & Target. 'Cause you can never have too much money for either of those two places!

24th Birthday Adventure

For my 24th birthday, we got together several friends for a girls downtown outing of exploring, shopping, and eating good food. This was also a fun experience for us girls, since we typically never visit our downtown, so our friends showed us around town.

We went shopping at: T.J.Maxx, H&M, and Forever 21. Then our way home, me, Gaby, and Hanne-col stopped off at Ulta for me to use my birthday $10 off coupon [and to pick up my free mascara].

What I Wore | Independence Day

Happy Independence Day, everyone! How has your day been? Mine has been great. I tidy up my bedroom in the morning, played three games of basketball after lunch, went to Dicks Sporting Goods with my family, and had ribs & mac-and-cheese for dinner. This evening we are going to watch our neighborhood fireworks, and find out if some sparklers we found in our garage still work once it gets dark outside.

By the Shores of Silver Lake | Into the Archives

Older readers may remember that I used to share scans from my vintage magazine collection. Yes? No?  If you don't remember you can view some of those posts here: Move Life [April, 1940], Marie Claire [March 24th, 1939], and Fall/Winter Sears & Roebuck Catalog [1939/1940] to name a few. Anyhow I'm going to be bring this back, but with a twist. You see, I have a good number of vintage items in my collection: clothing, books, records, bags, shoes, hats, magazines, etc... that I thought it was high time that I start a series called, Into the Archives to share these treasures with y'all. Sound like fun? Good. Onto the first item featured in this series.

What I Wore | Stipes + Herringbone

Hello everyone! I've been asked to share what I wear to the office fairly recently [at least in the past two months], so I'm answering that request today. Now, what you see today is fairly typical of what I would wear to the office sometime between Tuesdays and Fridays [if I go in to the office]. Otherwise on Mondays [the day of the week I always work] no clients come into the office, so I usually just wear jeans & nice tee shirt [typically I'm the only one working that day, at least during the warmer months]. Anyhow, onto today's outfit.

4th of July | Holiday Outfit Ideas

It has been awhile since I've done one of these outfit ideas posts for an holiday, Christmas perhaps? Since I had some free time last night, since I was uploading an haul video, I decided to put together a quick post with 4th of July outfit ideas. Of course, this will be most helpful for my American readers, but you can still take the outfit ideas and use them even if you aren't from the United States.

What I Wore | Let's Twist Again, Like We Did Last Summer

It is the first day of July today, which means only 4 more days until my birthday. Eeep. I have some fun plans for my birthday: hanging out with a bunch of girl friends downtown, eat dinner at Ted's Montana Grill with my family in the evening, and perhaps watch a movie with my sisters that night [or an episode of Doctor Who].

Anyhow, onto today's outfit which has a vintage 1950s feel to it. Would you believe it, but this was my fourth outfit that I tried on when getting dressed this morning. Yeah, it was one of those days, but it came out alright in the end as I went with a 1960s/early 60 inspired outfit, since I've been listening to the music from The Help soundtrack almost nonstop this past week.
