New Years Eve Sewing Day

It isn't often anymore that I have sewing days, mostly because I typically work one day, day off, work two days, etc.., that I typically spend all of my off-days working on blog stuff or hanging out with family & friends. Which is why when I had two days off in a row this week, I decided to take that time to have a sewing day with my sister, Hanne-col. Of course, after we had gotten started our sister, Abby, and friend, Liz [who is over to spend NYE with us] decided to join in the fun too with their own crafts. #craftsarecatchy

WHO INSPIRES ME [FASHION WISE] | Keira Knightley

Source: dailymail.co.uk
Within in the past couple months I've been really inspired by Keira Knightley's style -- both for fashion, hair, and makeup. Of course, it is helpful that my favorite makeup artist, Lisa Eldridge, does a lot of Keira's event makeup looks. It is also because of Keira that I decided to try out a more coral/orange red this year, since it looked amazing on her at a movie premiere this summer.

Btw, if you are unfamiliar with this Who Inspires Me [Fashion Wise] series, it is a blog series that I started several years ago, but I tend to only do two-three posts a year for it, hence you might not of heard of it yet [if you are a newish reader]. :p

I feel within the past couple of years, Keira's style has become simply stunning. Of course, I tend to really favour the style of ladies from the UK, there is something about their look that I enjoy. Enough chit-chat though, let's get into the pictures and look at pretty things.

My Goals for 2015

Hello lovelies! I haven't done one of these goals posts for several years, mostly because I picked one thing I wanted to master/learn for one given year and that was it. This year to challenge me more, I want to make my goals for 2015 public, as y'all can keep me accountable & challenge me to keep my goals. Sound good?

New Years Outfit Idea from Abbey | Guest Post

Hello, lovelies!

Merry Christmas + happy New Year! Last night Southern Minnesota finally blessed us with some snow (yes, I said BLESSED.) Christmas is so much prettier with a couple of inches of snow, am I right? I know a couple of you were looking forward to my post a week ago, but unfortunately I came down with the flu so I was unable to guest post for Ashley that week. But I'm back feeling great, with my last post! My family doesn't usually do anything fancy for New Years, but I'll definitely be staying up till midnight, play some board games, and I'll be wearing this super comfy dress that was a Christmas gift from my Grandparents! What does your family do for New Years? Is your family the party type or more laid back?

What I Wore | Family Christmas Day + In All Modesty Review

Hello lovelies! How was your Christmas? Mine was good. We [me & Gaby] went to a friends house for dinner and games, afterwards we stopped at Starbucks to pick up a coffee before coming back to our house. Our afternoon was then spent with our Marvel loving friends [Liz & Grace] [the same ones we spent our morning with] to watch more episodes from series 1 of Agents of SHIELD, Thor 2, and the new Doctor Who Christmas special. We also exchanged some gifts with each other.

How did you spend your Christmas?

What I Wore | Cozy for Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! I've been rather busy the past couple days with work [Ulta has been crazy busy with Christmas being tomorrow], running grown-up errands, and attending a Christmas cookie decorating/welcome home/birthday party for one of our dear friends who has been a missionary teacher in Africa the past two years.

This morning me & Gaby made a run to Starbucks to pick up a coffee, as our latte machine is broken, and we need the coffee. Then in the afternoon some friends came over for a MARVEL get-together, where we ended up watching: Guardians of the Galaxy [it was the first time any of us had seen it] and a couple of episodes from Agents of SHIELD [first series]. Now this evening me & Gaby are watching a film we have been saving for this week: Funny Girl [1968].

What did y'all do on Christmas Eve?

What I Wore | Walking Through Co. Review

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? Sorry, there haven't been really any posts this week from me. I've been busy working a 30+ hour work week, and today is my first day off from both of my jobs. To say the least, it was good not to work today.

I spent my Saturday morning watching some old Disney cartoons of Mickey Mouse and his gang that I found on YouTube, before going out for lunch with a friend at Chick-Fil-A. Afterwards we came back to my place to watch the television show, Forever [2014], and then mid-way in the afternoon we picked up our peppermint mocha drinks from Starbucks, 'cause they were half-off today.

How did y'all spend your Saturday?

Raquel's Style 2 - Portland Prepster | Guest Post

I was originally going to post every four weeks or so, but four weeks from my last guest post would be the 30th, and I will be in Peru by then.  (I'm leaving the 22nd and will be back January 9th:)  So I decided to post it the Friday before I leave so I'd be able to share it on Facebook, and have a chance to reply to any of your lovely comments:)

With this outfit, I decided to represent my Portland.  I'm not sure how many of you know that I'm from Portland, Oregon, so I thought I'd really make that obvious and state it here.  Yup, born and raised in that gorgeous city.  I live out in the country now, but nothing will ever come between me and my love of Ptown.  And I live not far so I go there often.

One of my favoritest things about Portland is its inhabitant's fashion statements.  We're trendy, preppy hipsters.  I hope I do it justice.

Ulta Chic | '50s Glam

Hello lovelies! So, yeah, I've been kinda been missing in the social media world for almost a week now. Why? My family left last weekend for Florida for a Christmas vacation, I'm staying back 'cause of this thing called work. Taking about work, I've been picking up a lot of extra hours at work and today is my first day off, so I'm taking a little bit of time to create this post before heading to my Dad's office for a few hours to check the phone.

7 Ways to Style an Infinity Scarf from Hannah Barta | Guest Post

Hi there! I'm Hannah Barta, the fashion and lifestyle blogger behind Dance A Real. I'm eighteen and a sophomore in college, and I don't have a huge wardrobe, so my blog features a lot of remixed outfits that I've tried my hardest to buy on sale or in a thrift store. If you want ideas for how to use your pieces in different ways, hop on over! I love visitors :)

My Holiday Must-Haves

The snow is falling [at least for some people], ice is glistening, the Christmas lights are twinkling, the smell of peppermint is in the air, and you are rushing around getting ready for the Christmas day.

With the holiday season fully upon us, and I thought it would be fun to share some of my holiday must-haves. Once you've read mine, beside to let me know what yours are down in the comments.

1. Starbucks -- Once November hits and the holiday drinks have arrived, I find myself stopping by for a latte or a Frapp when ever I'm running low on energy, getting tired, or just get a hankering for coffee. Seriously, you could give me gift cards to Starbucks and they will be used up almost right away. *grin*

Christmas Outfit Ideas from Abbey | Guest Post

Hello, gals!

I don't know about you, but I love Christmas! And who doesn't adore the smell of pine trees, listening to Michael Buble's Christmas album, hot chocolate, the twinkling lights on Christmas trees, and you can't forget the bright + merry shades of red, green and gold adorning our homes, stores, and pretty much anything from packaging to clothing.

Today I have two outfit ideas for you that I came up with for Christmas, or any holiday event!

Ulta Chic | Holiday Cheer

Hello lovelies! It has been awhile since I've done one of these Ulta Chic outfit posts, and it isn't because I haven't been working, but because I've been working early morning [6:30am] or the store closing shifts [meaning it is dark both shifts]. haha...I could do outfit pictures after truck days, but lately I've either had to work my other job afterwards, or had something else to do so I would change immediately after work once I got home before heading out again. :p

What I Wore | Zooey Deschanel Inspired + Borghese Giveaway

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? I've spent my day replying to some blog emails; watching some YouTube videos; putting away my clothes; listening to She & Him's newest album, Classic [which was released today]; and right now I'm baking Christmas sugar cookies [In fact, the dough is resting in the fridge right now].

How about you? What did y'all do today?

Raquel's Style 1 | Plaid & Leather | Guest Post

I'm excited to guest post here on Bramblewood Fashion again. Ashley and I have talked and figured out a win-win situation for both of us.  She would like a regular (by 'regular', I mean, maybe weekly, but most definitely monthly) guest poster, and I've been wanting to do little fashion posts, but my blog isn't really focused on fashion.  And I also don't have the time to start my own fashion blog.  So I asked Ashley if I could guest post over here with my fashion ideas.  And she liked the sound of this...

So hi!

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Raquel.  I blog over at It's Just Raquel (recently changed from God's Daughter).  Stop by and say hey sometime, okay?

But for now, I'm here.  And I would like to tell you a little about the idea I have planned for my guest posts.  See, I absolutely love hand-me-downs.  And shopping at thrift stores.  And looking through the clearance rack at my favorite stores.  I've had a lot of people ask me how I coordinate my outfits so well and I've told them that it's really just a mix-and-match of places I get things from.  So in my fashion posts, I want to break down the wheres and how-muchs (yes, I just made that word up) of whatever I'm wearing.  And here is my first try at this...

What I Wore | Thanksgiving Day!

Hello lovelies! This is going to be a short and sweet post, since I should be sleeping right now in preparation of working tonight from midnight to 7am. Anyhow, I had a lovely Thanksgiving with my family with lots of yummy foods and "I Love Lucy" playing on the television in the morning.

How to Build a Wardrobe

How to Build a Wardrobe

Over the years, I’ve been asked on several occasion to share on how to build a wardrobe from scratch if one is wanting to start dressing modestly, yet chic. When I was first asked this question, I didn’t feel like I knew all the answers, especially since I was just learning myself. In fact, my entire fashion journey of wanting to dress more stylish, yet modestly is documented here on Bramblewood Fashion. So, yeah I wasn’t ready before, but now that I have learned more about fashion, what are my go-to’s, and I have learned tips on finding good quality clothes at a bargain price [for me at least]. Also, I have been personally helping a friend build her wardrobe over the past year [Hello, Liz!].

Some Favorite Old Hollywood Videos

Hey lovelies! It has been forever since I've done just a random post filled with nonsense, mostly because I feel like my posts need to be top-notch and professional now days. So here is a post filled with clips of videos found on YouTube of some of my favorite Old Hollywood actors/singers moments, on either on the silver screen or television.

Sunday Style | Festive Red Dress

Hello lovelies! Our church had their Thanksgiving dinner after the service yesterday, and for the occasion I really dressed up. There is something about dressing up for the holiday's that I really love. Call me old-fashioned, but I really love the holiday traditions of days gone by which include dressing up for the holiday's.

What about you? Do you like dressing up for the holiday's?

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas from Abbey | Guest Post

Hey there, lovelies! My name is Abbey and I blog over at Miss Abbey Noelle. I'm mostly a fashion blogger, but I do occasionally post DIY'S, recipes, vlogs, and random updates! I found Ashley's lovely blog about a year ago and I absolutely adore her fashion posts! Her Ulta chic outfits are a recent favorite of mine. So thank you Ashley, for letting me guest post!

Alrighty, since Thanksgiving is just a few days away, I thought I'd share three of my outfit ideas for the Holiday! I'm totally a dresses + skirts kinda girl, but I did throw in a more casual outfit for you to see. Enjoy!

What I Wore | House Cleaning

Hello lovelies! It has been awhile since I've done an outfit post for y'all. I seriously need to remedy this lack of outfit posts...of course, I have good reasons for not being able to do post during late October/early November as we were all busy working on our Dad's banquet [I edited six videos, all of which Gaby had filmed]. So yeah, we had that along with Church events that we were apart of helping out with, so you could say that we have been incredibly busy within the past several weeks. But enough about the past, let's talk about today's outfit.

Natasha Styling Skinny Jeans | Guest Post

Hello there, ladies! My name is Natasha and I blog over at What I Wear, What I Do And Why I Did It-otherwise known as "A Modest Fashion Blog."

I'm excited to post today on Ashley's blog, she was one of the first blogs I followed years ago.

A slightly controversial subject amongst modest fashion bloggers is the subject of pants. Some will not agree with me that pants CAN be modest (though not 100% of the time). And that's okay! Everyone's entitled to their opinion, even me.

Skincare, Bath, and Beauty Ulta Haul & Review | My Beauty Picks

Gosh. I've only done three posts so far in the month of November. What can I say? I've been living life one event at a time. Life has been going full-speed ahead around here, leaving no time for blogging [at least for taking pictures]. I do have a couple of videos on my YouTube channel, but even that is sadly behind. *sigh* Well, I'm going to start having some guest-bloggers through-out the coming the months, so that will be fun, since I don't always have time to post anymore.

1. Aromafloria Stress Less Ocean Mineral Bath Salts in Lavender [$2.99] -- These were located in the grab-n-go section by the cash wrap, and I decided to try them out since I've been really getting into relaxing baths lately. The downside of these bath salts is that it takes an entire bag for one bath, and the full-sized product is $22 at Ulta. But, the salts do create a soothing bath for sore muscles and create a tiny bit of foam too, which is always a plus in my book.

2. EOS Coconut Milk Lip Balm [$3.49] -- If you have read my blog for several years, or have watch some of my makeup tutorials, you will be aware that I adore EOS lip balms [especially in Sweet Mint]. I was always getting asked if the coconut milk flavor was any good when I work my shifts at Ulta, so I took the plunge and tried it out. It is good, but I mostly recommend it for people who love the taste of coconut [sadly, I'm not that person]. It was a pass for me, personally.

My Top 12 Favorite Fiction Books | My Picks

Do you know how hard it is for a book lover to narrow down their top favorite books? Well, I've been thinking about sharing some of my favorite books with y'all for awhile now, and thought now was as good a time as any. This list is going to be my top twelve favorite fiction books, my next book list will be my top ten favorite books republished by Lamplighter Publications [since I had to narrow down my list somehow].

Q&A Time with Bramblewood Fashion!

When I was cleaning out my Macbook a few weeks ago, I stumbled across several documents filled with questions from y'all that we had never answered. Oops. To remedy this I have decided to start replying to some of them within some blog posts that were personally addressed to me. Perhaps when we have some more time, me and Gaby will film some Q&A videos with the questions that were addressed to the two of us. Sound good? Good.

How long have you been blogging? I started blogging in 2008, when I started a blog called, Vintage Home Life with my Mum and sisters on Wordpress. Of course, no one else ended up doing the blog with me and it was just me doing all the blogging. Then in August of 2009 I started, Bramblewood Fashion and in October of that same year, A Girls Guide to Homelife. I also have a couple other blogs: Musings of a Vintage Girl [Old Hollywood themed] and Bramblewood Dress Diary [sewing blog for historical/movie costumes].

Why did you start your blog? Since everyone means, Bramblewood Fashion when they ask this question. I started BF as way to share my latest sewing projects with everyone, to help advertise and grow an audience for my Etsy shop [which never took off, sadly].

What made you start a YouTube channel? Let's see here....I really loved seeing the videos that Amanda Flynn would share on her fashion blog, Amanda Beth Online, so eventually I got the courage to just start a channel myself. My first video was of me draping a bodice for my Young Victoria gown -- with no sound, just music. :p  I also saw videos as a way to connect with y'all on an other level, as you could hear my voice and see what I'm like in "real life". Of course, I didn't become comfortable in my videos until the past year or so. :p

Sunday Style | 1930s Inspired

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing this Lord's day? I went to Church this morning with my family, came home for lunch afterwards, and so far this afternoon I've only been working on this outfit post. We live about 30-45 minutes away from Church, and by the time we make lunch most of the afternoon has past. Once I'm finished with this post I'm going to be putting away my Autumn/Winter clothes; make butterscotch & oatmeal cookies for a snack; play PS2 with my sister, Gaby; and do my bathroom chore for this week.

Friday Favorites

1. Forever [2014] Television Show -- I just started watching this show on Tuesday evening and I caught up within 24 hours. To say the least, I'm addicted to this show and I can't wait for more episodes to air. The show is a mix of Doctor Who, Sherlock, and something else [can't decided what] -- plus it stars Ioan Gruffudd.

2. Gracepoint [2014] Television Show -- The American remake of Broadchurch [another show which I enjoy watching], has been good so far. At times I get confused why they mention so many American things, than it hits me that it takes place in America, not UK. Duh. Also this show stars, David Tennant [who also appeared in Broadchurch].

Ulta Chic | Black & Leopard Print

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? This morning I attended Barry Stebbing's nature art class and I worked on improving my watercolor skills -- which was great fun, since I really enjoy working with all types of paint mediums. After class we came back home for lunch, and I had to get ready for work at Ulta this afternoon/evening.

What I Wore | Hunter Green & Cream [+ Sweet Minerals Review & Makeup Tutorial]

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? I had yesterday and today off from both jobs, so I've been taking that time to work on blog stuff and I visited our art museum in downtown Indy this afternoon with some of my family. That was lots of fun! As I really enjoy looking at the art work -- it's the artist in me. There was even a special section in our museum about a painting that they bought after World War Two from a local veteran [who traded for it from a Russian officer], and they have been trying to locate who all the original owners have been for the painting for awhile now -- with no success. All very interesting.

What I Wore | Mixing Prints: Stripes & Leopard Print

Hello lovelies! It has been a busy weekend around here with our Church celebrating their 50th anniversary on Sunday [I helped with serving cake & punch after a special evening service], I worked Saturday afternoon/evening at Ulta, and then I worked at my Dad's office today. October and early November always seem to be very busy months for us personally, so it kinda explains the lack of posts, though I'm working hard on creating a library of posts right now.

Friday Favorites

Hello lovelies! It has been awhile since I've done one of these Friday Favorites posts, and since I wasn't able to do either an outfit post or a makeup tutorial/review post today [Gaby had to take her nice camera to work today], I thought I should do a Friday Favorites post. *smile*
1. Burberry My Burberry perfume -- After trying this scent out at work last weekend, I've been obsessed with the smell, the price not so much so I'm saving up my Ulta points to hopefully purchase this perfume sometime this year, or early next year.

What I Wore | Coral for Autumn

Hello lovelies! I've had a packed day today with work all morning [it was TASK day, so I was unloading boxes and stocking shelves the entire time at Ulta], came home for lunch before heading out for most of the afternoon of shopping with my Mum for the Seniors Luncheon which is tomorrow at our Church.

If you are a newer reader, the Seniors Luncheon is an event that I have been apart of since my junior year of High-School [which was 2007], but me and Gaby took over the event last Spring and have been running it ever since. We prepare and serve a lunch and dessert to the elderly in our Church and sometimes their friends, once a month, on either the second or third Wednesday of the month from about March/April to November.  It is lots of fun, though a bit tiring after standing on your feet all day working hard.

Gaby's Skincare | My Beauty Picks

Oily and acne prone skin is never fun. Add on top of that combination and extremely sensitive to any and most products and you have a hard time finding anything that works. Everyone’s skin is diverse, and what works for one might not work for another. That being said, I thought it might be a help to some of you to know what products I have found to work for my skin. I have battled moderate to slightly severe acne since I was about 15. I have tried many different face washes and moisturizers. The products I have listed before are the ones I have settled upon. (Although my face wash does switch up a bit in the hope to find the one that will really clear up my skin.)  Without any further ado, here are the current products I use on my face.

1. Coconut Oil - Let me just say that I absolutely love coconut oil. It is seriously the best. Whenever I am having a really bad breakout I reach for coconut oil. I lather it onto my skin and massage it all over. Then I massage my Yes to Grapefruit Exfoliator right on top, then rinse it all off with water. I also love coconut oil if my skin is really dry. I add just a little bit with my finger to the dry patch and let it do its work of moisturizing. I also use it as a body moisturizer after I shower.

What I Wore | Colored Jeans for the Weekend

Hello lovelies! I had to go into work this morning/afternoon, so of course, I didn't wear this outfit [I did wear the blouse to work, with some black dress pants, hot pink cardigan, and black skechers]. Anyhow, this is what I wore after-work, since I wanted to wear something autumn-ish, colorful, and comfy.

How To Dress | 1960s Inspired

1960s Inspired

Hello lovelies! I have been asked a lot to share how to dress vintage everyday a lot over the years, and recently I was asked via email by a reader how to dress 1960s inspired every day. I thought it would be lots easier to share my thoughts via a post, that way I can share lots of pictures to help show my points and ideas. Also, if y'all are interested, I could make this into a type of series of how to dress a certain way perhaps: 1940s inspired, ONCE inspired, DW inspired, etc.... Would you guys be interested in this type of series?

Autumn Fashion Inspiration

I have a serious weakness for autumn fashion: the cozy layers, cute jumpers, adorable boots and booties, scarves galore, and just everything that comes with the cooler weather. I never really realized how much I loved autumn fashion, until this year when I was suddenly inspired with all these cute outfits to wear [and not enough day offs to wear them]. When you can only wear black and white clothing to work, it really puts a damper on the autumn spirit of dressing. Thankfully, I can wear all the autumn inspired clothing on my days off, after work [though sometimes I don't change], and when I go into my Dad's office to work.

What I Wore | Tunic + Jeans for Autumn

Hello lovelies! Today was my day-off from work, so I went with my Mum and sister, Gaby to visit downtown Indy this afternoon for our Mum's haircut and to show them Fountain Square and of course, visit the local frozen yogurt place: Cultured Swirl [which I had mentioned here before]. On our way home we stopped by at Starbucks for some coffee and I decided to go with my autumn favorite in latte form: Salted Caramel Mocha Latte. Which if you haven't tried it yet, do give it a try before they run out of salt in either December or January. *smile*

What I Wore | On Wednesday I Wear Pink

Hello lovelies! Today was a fairly relaxing/lazy kinda day, as me and my sister, Hanne, went over to a friends house to just hangout and played various games. Oh, and we also made crescent roll hot dogs for lunch -- which was a first for both me & them.

What I Wore | Preppy for Autumn

Hello lovelies! This morning I woke up early to unload boxes of goodies at Ulta and I was able to finish three sections: hair tools, bath, and Mass skincare. I must say, I love unloading and organizing boxes of stuff onto the store selves -- even if the after effects of waking up early get me every time. For example, I've had two cups of chai at home today AND a venti coffee Frapp from Starbucks today and I'm still dead tired at 4:30pm [it is now, 7:30pm] -- caffeine seems to have no effect on me really.

After coming home from work, I decided to change into the outfit you see in the post, mostly because I really wanted to wear my new jumper from OASAP and it was slightly chilly today -- both good reasons to pull it out to wear. *smile*

What I Wore | Coral + Black

Hello lovelies! I had to go into work again this morning, so I decided to show y'all my after-work outfit today. Typically, I don't always change my outfit after work, but then again, it depends what time of day I'm working. Of course, there are some days where all I want to do is crawl into some sweatpants and a comfy tee, and cozy up with Netflix & either some tea or coffee.

Ulta Chic | 1940s-ish Inspired [Makeup Wise]

Hello lovelies! I'm back yet again with another work outfit, I was going to do my off-day outfit yesterday, but I forgot to take pictures until it was dark outside. Silly me. Oh well, perhaps this Saturday I'll get some non-work outfit pictures taken, especially since I'm thinking about attending a friend's bonfire that evening with s'mores and everything.

Ulta Chic | Thrifted Work Style

Hello lovelies! So, yeah, my last post was an Ulta Chic post, but life has been crazy for me this past week. I worked from Sunday through Thursday last week. Friday I was busy with life & movie night of watching Cap 2 with my siblings and some friends. Saturday, one of my dear friends got married [y'all can see pictures from the wedding here] and I did the makeup of several of the bridesmaids & the Bride; I also helped with plating & serving the food at the wedding. Then on Sunday I had church in the morning & my brother, Nathanael had a Fall League baseball game that evening at Butler -- he hit his first triple in High-School baseball that night. Lot of fun, but tiring times.

Ulta Chic | Easy Glam

Hello lovelies! Today is my third day of work at Ulta this week, and should be my last for this week. For my outfit, hair, and makeup I wanted to keep it simple, yet glam [in fact, I wore this same look last night, when I had to work last minute at Ulta]. This is going to be a rather quick post, as I have to leave for work soon. :)

Cleaning Out My Lip Product Drawer | My Beauty Picks

First let's start off with some background and disclaimers. I've been only wearing beauty products since I was 20/21, and for the first two years I only dabbled in lip products: mostly colored lip balms & lip glosses. Then I discovered my love of lipsticks in the autumn of 2012 and I quickly built up a collection of pink & berry toned lipsticks all from the drugstore. Then I decided to be brave, and discover the red lipstick that would work for me in 2013 -- the year of finding the perfect red lipstick for me. Since then I've received some lip products to try out from various companies, I also receive lip products in subscription boxes, and also I typically never pay full-price for any of my makeup [coupons, clearance racks, and sales are my best friend].

So, since I'm a lip product junkie, I will have a good number of products in my collection. I know that not everyone needs to have this much personally, and I'm not trying to brag either. I'm just sharing something that I love with y'all! :)

What I Wore | Neutral Layers + A Pop of Red

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing today? Today has been a fairly whirlwind day between running errands with my Mum, and sisters: Gaby & Hanne; fixing a bridesmaid dress [again], and doing several other things [which will be mentioned below]. I kinda wrote this post backward tonight, hence there isn't too much up on top. haha...well, continue reading for more. :)

Oh, during the first of the half of the week in the coming week, there won't be too many posts as I work Sunday - Tuesday; have the Seniors Luncheon on Wednesday; have to refashion my dress for a friends wedding sometime before Saturday; and I will be doing the bride's makeup [and anyone's hair & makeup, who need help] for said wedding on Saturday; oh, and I'll be be helping with serving the food at the wedding too.

What I Wore | Styling A Graphic Tee + Kosher Casual Review & Giveaway

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing today? Today I've been working on replying to blog emails, gathering inspiration for future posts, doing Chopped Kitchen with my siblings for lunch, stopping at Ulta to approve my hours, and dropping by the post office to mail a package. I'm not sure what I'm going to do tonight yet, but I'm guess that I will be either watching: BBC Robin Hood, DW, or The Amazing Spider-Man with my brother, Nathanael. Who, by the way, I have gotten hooked on Marvel, DW, and BBC Robin Hood the past couple of weeks. I'm such a good sister. *grin*

Ulta Chic | Black + Mint Accents

Hello lovelies! As y'all can see from the title of this post, I have decided to call my work posts Ulta Chic, which also means that I went into work. Well...today was my second day of working this week, but I was so worn out from working at Ulta on Tuesday morning, that I didn't do an outfit post. Since I worked on Monday at my other job & had Bible Study that evening -- to say the least I didn't get much sleep on Monday night so I was wiped out on Tuesday. Anyhow, let's get onto about my outfit for today.

Five Leather Jackets for Every Budget

Today I have a rather fun post to share with y'all. I don't know about you, but I have come to really love leather jackets during the autumn/winter season. They are perfect to throw over a tee shirt and skirt, jeans and a tee shirt, or even a super girly dress. At this point I can't afford a real leather jacket [unless I can find one in a thrift store], so I'm going to be sharing both faux and real leather jackets with y'all -- something for every budget.

What I Wore | Autumn Days Are Coming

Ah! I come to discover that I adore autumn fashion, beauty trends, the weather, and just everything that surrounds the autumn season. Even though it was in the 80s today, and was on the rainy/stormy side today I was feeling autumn like inside, so I pulled out a summery/autumn inspired outfit to wear today. You may ask, why did I title this post "Autumn Days Are Coming" if it is in the 80s? Well, it is supposed to get down into the mid-60s starting tomorrow, hence the title.

Saturday Musings

Hello lovelies! How has your weekend been going? I've been working on various things, all of which I'm going to be sharing with y'all today.

  • I've been working on ripping out and moving a zipper on a bridesmaid dress for a friend. It is nerve wracking taking a zipper out, and cutting away some of the fabric [otherwise the seams would be too thick] to move the zipper over an inch. I'm also having to move the dress label and sash.
