What I'm Wearing: Teacher's Pet Skirt c/o Shabby Apple // Kelly Green Tee Shirt Grace Elements via Sams Club // Belt F21 // Silver Hoop Earrings J.C.Penny // Wedges Payless // Nail Polish Sinful Colors in Hazard

How y'all doing today? I wore one of my favorite new outfit combinations for this summer. It makes me feel very Italian. I'm not sure why? Ideas? Perhaps it is the neckline of my top, the fit of the skirt, the color comb? Hehe...and we did have spaghetti with fresh pasta sauce for dinner tonight. *grin*

Well, I better go grab some chocolate chip cookies & milk and go watch the Olympics. By the way, what is YOUR favorite Olympic event{s}?

Random Thoughts...

Friday was the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. I did watch it and have some favorite moments. One of the highlights for me was the video of the Queen & James Bond. Simply epic. I've been trying to find a video of it on YouTube but no such luck so far.

I'm hoping to do a post on my favorite uniforms from Friday night too, once I can find pictures of all the ones I loved. It is just so hard to find pictures right now. No clue why. Maybe I'm searching wrong.

----------------------------------------------

Alright, we finally have a winner for the last giveaway I did. After much difficultly contacting different girls about winning the giveaway,  Jenna K. will be the winner for the beautiful earrings. Congratulations once again, Jenna! :)

------------------------------------------------

For the month of August, all Large & Medium ad sponsors will have the option to do a guest post. Also, I have a coupon code, August15 for 15% off all ad sizes. The code will only work 4 times and the code expires after August 2nd.

I've really been into thrifting lately. I even filmed a haul showing everything I found in the above video. I've also really been into filming more videos lately, I think it is because I'm starting to become comfortable talking in front of a camera. *smile*

I also want to say thank you to all of my sponsors for supporting me this month! If you haven't checked them out yet, please do so {they are on the right sidebar}. They are all pretty awesome. You knows, you might a new favorite blog to follow?

What I'm Wearing: Black Skirt Thrift Store J.Crew // Striped Tee, Mustard Cardigan, Oxford Heels Forever 21 // Owl Earrings Kohl's

This week I've really been loving my new mustard cardigan that I found at Forever 21 last Friday. It is just perfect & is the shade of mustard that look best against my skin tone. Which by the way, makes it that much awesome! Expect to see me in this cardigan a lot come this autumn. Which reminds me, is anyone else excited to start wearing fall clothes? I am, which is weird since I usually love my summer clothes. But I can't wait to wear long cardigans, boots, lots of layers, colorful tights. *sighs* Also, despite what you might think {that it is cool where I live} it was 100 degrees today.

I should mention that you will start to see thrifted items in my outfit posts. Because guess what? I discovered that I love thrifting this past weekend as you can buy the brands I love {J.Crew, Lands' End Canvas, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor & Loft, etc....} at the prices I like {$6 or less}. That is simply fantastic and I can't wait to go thrifting again to find more great deals!

One more thing before I go. Today I did a guest post over at Modern Modest Beauty on styling a LBD. You can also enter to win a giveaway over there {I'm giving away a medium sized ad}.

What I'm Wearing: Mint Chiffon Blouse c/o OASAP {link to blouse} // Dusty Pink Ruffle Maxi made by me {buy your own} // Bow Post Earrings, Belt, Sandals Forever 21 // Gold Sparkly Bracelet J.Crew

Yesterday my sister, Hanne-col said my outfit was very fairytale like. It must be the fabrics & colors being all soft & girly. Anyhow, I really love this look. Plus, I'm in love with my new mint blouse from OASAP. It is just adorable. The only downside is that their clothes come in one size only, which is fine for me because I'm the perfect size for their clothes.

Last night I made "Triple Threat Chocolate Cupcakes" which for me is: Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate ganache centers, and topped with chocolate frosting in a rose design. I based my cupcakes on an idea I saw on Cupcake Wars the other night. This was also my first time making chocolate ganache {which btw, it wasn't that hard}.

Guest Post - Cari {The Skinny Olive Blog}

Hey everyone! I'm Cari from The Skinny Olive Blog. Ashley was nice enough to join up with me and help promote my very first guest post. Be sure to check out my blog for more posts on fashion, beauty, blogging, and D.I.Y.! Let's get started:

I recently purchased this adorable denim button-up on sale for $19.99 from Banana Republic. Major steal. I'm very interested in fashion, but I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't come naturally to me. Almost every new piece of clothing that I buy sits in my closet for a week or two until I can create a few outfits for it. So, after some mixing and matching, and a very big closet mess, I found three great ways to rock a denim shirt. Hope you enjoy!
  1. Wear it with a POP of color. Lately I've been really into pastels, especially mint and coral. Colors like this are a great (and easy) way to put a quirky spin on a basic piece like a denim shirt. (Skirt: Express. Scarf: Target. Purse: Mod Style.)
  2. Dress down a business ensemble. This is a personal favorite of mine when I have plans after work, but no time to drive home and change in-between. Just slip off the business blazer, throw on a statement necklace, and you're good to go! (Skirt: Plato's Closet. Blazer: Gap.)
  3. Tie the ends and match with a loud dress. Pairing something super casual with it's complete opposite creates a mix-match look that I'm in love with. Don't be afraid to think out of the box! (Dress: Poema.)
-----------------------------------------------
Thanks, Cari! I love the three ways you styled the denim button down. Very cute. By the way, yesterday I did a guest post DIY post on Cari's blog that y'all might want to check out!

Instagram Saturday #2

This is my haul from H&M during their 4th of July sale when I went with my mom & sisters. I bought a pair of lilac pants {I debated between getting the lilac and the mint, I thought the lilac would be more practical & less trendy.} & this clutch that I've been eyeing for awhile.
With my free birthday drink from Starbucks I picked the mocha cookie crumble frap with extra whip cream - it sure was good!
I can't wait for this lace vest to arrive in the mail for me to review & style.

22nd Birthday Party + Outfit

Hello everyone! Yesterday was my 22nd birthday and it was simply lovely. I had a vintage themed party with tons of delicious food. In fact, I ate way too much food at my party. :p Also, I want to thank my readers that gave me birthday wishes yesterday via email, twitter, Facebook, etc....

Onto the pictures of my party! Now, I didn't plan my party at all, mostly because it didn't seem like my birthday was coming up, so everything you'll see was spur-of-the-moment. I think it came together rather well in the end.

Hello, y'all! I hope all of our US readers are enjoying a wonderful Independence Day! I [Gabrielle] went shopping with Ashley, my mom, and Hanne-col. We went to H&M to see their 4th of July sales. I bought a LBD, black tank, and an adorable pink beret [I need to show pictures]. I can't wait until autumn. *smiles*

Last night Ashley and I gave ourselves a red manicure and watched a few episodes from the Andy Griffith Show. It was a lot of fun.

What I'm Wearing: Jean Pencil Skirt made by me // Beach House Cardigan c/o Sugarlips // Navy Tank Old Navy // Leopard Wedges Payless // Cocktail Ring J.C.Penny // Post Earrings LC for Kohl's // Brown Belt Forever 21

Gaby & I were talking about posts and filming videos for Bramblewood Fashion during this morning's photo-shoot, and how we are like the "Girls With Glasses" but just for fashion & we are sisters, and also how now days wearing glasses are cool. Hence the title for today's post, Glasses are Cool!. Bonus points to anyone who gets the reference.

Anyhow, I was sent this cardigan by Sugarlips as a part of being in their blogger partnership program. It was hard to narrow down to my 3 top picks though, as I also love the following pieces too: cargo jacket, peter pan double collar blouse, sky veranda tank, lace findings dress, and peal the teal top.

I am very happy with this cardigan that they sent me. I can see it being perfect to wear to the beach over a bathing suit, with some wedge sandals {or flat}, floppy hat, sunnies, and a nice tote bag. Ahh...that sounds lovely right now. However, for today I styled the cardigan like a top, tucked into my high-waisted pencil skirt with a tank underneath - very Downton Abbey inspired. This is one easy way to bring a little Downton Abbey style into your wardrobe.

How would you style this cardigan?
