Let me share some of my favorite Christmas card selections with y'all. Who knows? You might find the card for you & your family among the ones I selected.

  The first one is called, Simply Joy. This card feels very fresh, clean, and modern. I love the unique corners on this card.
 Next up we have the Joyful Season card. This card is very vintage-y {perfect for those who love everything vintage}! Add a black & white family photo and you have one adorable family Christmas card.
Our next Christmas card would be adorable for newlyweds first Christmas card called, Dazzling Holiday. The unique little scallop edges on the circle card add a touch of whimsy & unique charm. Add your favorite wedding picture to the card and you have one cute Christmas card!
The last card I'll be sharing with y'all is called, Whimsy Wishes. I adore the font on this card, of course, you will need to be carful on what picture you pick for this card. As you wouldn't want the greeting to cover everyone's faces.

If you have any questions about minted.com check out this page filled with FAQ. And let me know if you buy anything from minted! I'll be placing a order for party supplies for a party me & Gaby want to have for a bunch of our friends next year.

Spread the Polish Swap | Reveal

A few weeks ago I signed up for my first nail polish swap, which ended up being lots of fun! LaLa Lists & Lipgloss and Crayons were the two blogs who put together the swap {thanks so much for putting this together Rachel & Carly, it was lots of fun!}.

My partner was Jasmine from Green eyed Monster! It was fun buying for her and she bought me the perfect nail polish colours for me. You can see what I got Jasmine here.
Jasmine sent me the colour Cajun Shrimp by OPI {which is more pink then it is showing up in the picture above} and Wine Not by Sally Hansen {which is a more cranberry colour}. I love both nail polishes and can't wait to wear them. The OPI colour will be perfect for our vacation to the beach next month, so I'll save that colour for then. *smile*

But thanks so much for the lovely nail polished, Jasmine!

What I Wore | Jean Jacket + Hi-Low Skirt

::What I'm Wearing:: Hi-low Skirt made by me // Coral Tunic Target // Jean Jacket Express via Simply Chic // Belt Forever 21 // Peacock Earrings Payless Shoes // Boots Target

I'm so excited to finally have a jean jacket in my wardrobe. They are so versatile and add that perfect touch to many outfits. Like yesterday I wore this jean jacket with a floral dress, colorful necklace, oxblood red tights, and black boots - the jean jacket simply added that perfect touch to the outfit {one of these days I'll have to share pictures of that outfit}! Then today I wore an outfit I wore back in August on our trip to Tennessee this summer, but added a jean jacket {it really completes the outfit} and winter-fid the outfit up a bit.

How do you feel about jean jackets? If you have one, what is your favorite way to style a jean jacket?

What I Wore | Graphic Tee & Blazer [+ Black Friday Haul]

::What I'm Wearing::
Navy Blazer -- Goodwill
 Oxblood Skinny Jeans -- H&M
Captain America Tee -- JCPenny
Boots -- Bass Shoe Outlet
Earrings -- Forever 21

Howdy everyone! How was your Thanksgiving weekend my American friends? Mine was fantastic! We've started watching Christmas movies this weekend: It Happened on 5th Avenue {1947} & Home Alone {1990}. When do y'all start watching Christmas movies?

How was everyone's Black Friday? I found a bunch of things in-store & online for myself and for presents {in fact, I've finished ALL of Christmas shopping already}. If you would like to know what I bought, you can watch the following haul video that I filmed.

Now, about my outfit. I really wanted to wear my new Captain America tee today, so I paired it with my oxblood skinny jeans & a navy blazer {since the shirt is short sleeves & the weather has turned cold again here}. Anyhow, I can't wait to try different outfit combinations with this tee {perhaps with my pleated skirt & a blazer/or cardigan}.

What to Wear for Thanksgiving

Hey everyone! I realized I hadn't done many of these holiday outfit ideas posts this year. I used to do these all the time, but I guess I got out of the habit this year. Anyhow, Thanksgiving is this Thursday in America and I thought it would be amazing to share some outfit ideas for Thanksgiving Day. So without further ado, let's get started.

This year for Thanksgiving I'm into a more cozy, country, comfy - yet dressy style this year {yet, I still don't know what I'm wearing}. Anyhow....I think henleys, gingham or denim button-downs, cozy sweaters, or peplum tops would be amazing to wear. The sweaters can go casual or dressy {depending on several points: how you style it & what the style of the sweater is}.

Skirts for Thanksgiving

If you are going to go with a skirt for Thanksgiving, I think it best to keep it on the dressy side. You will look more put-together and it fits the occasion of being with family & friends. You could go with a plaid skirt {full or pencil}, a floral skirt is fun, as is a brocade skirt, but then again, you could go with a solid color skirt {again, in either a pencil or full}.

Jeans for Thanksgiving

I also think jeans can be dressy too, or if you are more the relaxed & non-dressy type of girl these are a perfect choice. That's the beauty of jeans {or a jean skirt}, they can be dressy or completely casual depending on how you style them.

Colored Jeans for Thanksgiving

I also think colored jeans are pretty amazing {hmm...I might go with this option personally}. Of course, I really love the mustard & plum for Thanksgiving {not sure why}. Ooh..the mint ones would look amazing with a grey polka-dot pullover sweater and grey heels.

Shoes for Thanksgiving

In case, you have no clue on what shoes to wear. Take a peak at this set...the perfect pair of shoes can really make an outfit, as can the wrong pair totally ruin a beautiful outfit.

Jewelry for Thanksgiving

Right now I'm not completely into necklaces, or is it just for Thanksgiving {hmm...not sure}? Anyway, I think a pair of cute & unique earrings would be great! Of course, if you don't have your ears pierced, you can go with a great bracelet {they have some really cute ones these days, or you can make your own with a DIY you can find browsing around on Pinterest}. But this year for Thanksgiving, just keep the jewelry simple {it will make it that much easier to hang with family, play some football, or do some cooking without worrying about your jewelry}.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Winter is my ultimate favourite time of year as it’s when we can get out all of our gorgeous winter coats and boots and go for rustic walks in the country. If you ladies are anything like me you love the winter country look. Gorgeous knitted cardigans and shiny calf length boots with a perfectly styled scarf and hat combination.

I have chosen to piece together this mood board as it has a selection of all of my favourite things. I especially love these fantastic boots from house of Fraser; they are very stylish and can be worn with almost anything. I would never usually say teaming black and brown is ok, however with this fantastic shade of brown it would work with a pair of black jeans.

I know sometimes it’s hard to find your perfect winter look; do we go for ankle boots and short jackets, or riding boots and sophisticated coats? Due to the typical English weather and being a born and bred northern girl I have opt for the riding boots and the gorgeous long coat. I think this look generates a classy feel and whether you have chosen to wander the streets of Soho on an afternoon, or spend your Saturday walking through a park this outfit choice is charming.

I believe modesty is key, however covering up doesn’t need to mean looking unfashionable. I have never really liked bright colours when it comes to choosing my clothes, as I prefer to opt for subtle tones such as brown, coffee, cream and black. However if you do like a splash of colour add a pair of purple or red skinny jeans into an outfit, they will look fantastic with a pair of black riding boots and keep you looking current and fresh. If you are like many of the population and choose to stay away from skinny jeans, I believe knee length skirts, a pair of fashion tights and a pair of boots looks perfect for this time of year.

This is the season to show everyone how fashionable we can be, so invest in a gorgeous winter coat, a new hat and scarf and a pair of statement boots!

Shealynns Faerie Shoppe {Review + Giveaway}

I'm excited to be sharing with y'all today, Shealynn and her online jewelry shop. Which by the way, is wonderful! She sent me one of her new jewelry sets and I've been wearing the earrings non-stop this whole week. Just saying. Her packaging is cute, the workmanship on her jewelry is great {in fact, my mom wants a pair of her hoop earrings}!
::About Shaylynn {the girl behind the shop}::
My name is Shaylynn, which means "fairy of the palace" or "fairy of the pond," according to an old etymology book on our bookshelves (none of which hold any books that I have not read already). It's a particularly fitting name for me, since fairytales inspire my imagination so much! (My parents had no idea; they just mashed up two names that they liked and, being engineers, never expected their daughter to spend her time doodling fairyland in dozens of sketchbooks). I'm a teenage artist and jewelry designer. My favorite authors are Tolkien, Chesterton, Lewis, and Rowling. I can't stand coffee, I can ride the unicycle but can not juggle, and I'm a proud member of a large, completely crazy family. You can follow some of my creative ramblings, tutorials, and artwork over at my blog: www.shealynns-faerie-shoppe.blogspot.com.

I also wanted to take this moment to say thank you to Ashley for running Bramblewood Fashion. Like you, I read her posts the moment the appear in my feed, and I love her sense of style, her faithfulness, and her joy! Leave her some extra love in the comment box. :)

::About her Shop::
Shaylynn sells her unique jewelry on her online store, Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe. There is a little bit of everything: fantasy-inspired necklaces, chainmaille bracelets, religious keychains, classy hair jewels, and much, much more! The guitar string jewelry is her newest line and features everything from stacking rings to long necklaces. Custom orders are welcomed. You can follow Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe on facebook to receive updates on new designs!

Video Updates {ipsy + Book Sale Haul}

I recently tried out a new beauty subscription site called, ipsy and I'm in love. It is only $10 a month and it comes in a different cosmetics bag every month. Plus, each month they have a new theme for their bags. And if I remember correctly, they ship to Canada & USA. Anyhow, the November bag was filled with a bunch of amazing products that I will use right away.

Update from the unboxing video: I love the lip gloss {the color is amazing!!}. I tried the eye liner out and it works really well {it is my first non-marker eyeliner that I ever tried out}. Of course, I love the mascara by Benefit {looks very natural, which I love!}. Oh yes, I'm no longer freaked out by the nail polish. It looks gorgeous over other nail colors {reds, dark purples, etc...}!

Last Friday we went to a library half-price book sale where I found a bunch of amazing things {Which you can see, in the video below}!

So, how do y'all like watching these videos? Should I share more of them on my blog? As I don't always share the videos I upload to my YouTube on BF. Also, let me know if you have any video ideas for me to film.

What Inspires Me (Fashion Wise) - An Education {2009}

I decided to do a twist on my own Who Inspires Me (Fashion Wise) post series, and switch the who to what for a change. This will give me many options in the future for the series. *smile* Anyhow, today's inspiration comes from Carey Mulligan in the film, An Education {2009}. Which by the way, I have never seen the film. I've only seen screen-caps online & listened to the soundtrack.

Love this look for a formal event! One of these days I would like to make myself a 1960s brocade dress.

Love her simple LBD contrasted with the white coat. Too cute!

I've always loved school uniforms, and this one is no exception. Plus, this is a look that is easy to recreate.

Can I just say, I have a weakness for 50s/and early 60s formal dresses. They usually have such interesting details.

The perfect summer day dress! I want a nice floral summer dress one of these days. Of course, I would want mine to have a full skirt {they just look better on me}.

Which one of these is your favorite?

Better Dresses Vintage Review - 1960s Floral Day Dress

Alright, I'm in love with this 50s/early 60s day dress from Better Dresses Vintage. It is so beautiful, and I always feel right in late 50s/early 60s clothing - I don't know what it is, but it is definitely my era. I paired the dress with some vintage gloves and coat, some vintage inspired earrings from Claire's, pearl bracelet and seamed tights from Forever 21, heels from Famous Footwear, and my Steve Madden handbag from Little Black Bag.

About the dress, it was sent to me to borrow & review from Better Dresses Vintage. The shipping was fast, the packaging was well done & thoughtful. I did take pictures of my unpacking the dress but we can't locate the pictures anywhere right now. They just plain disappeared. But believe me, it was like opening a present from a good friend when I opened the package up.

The dress is cuter in person then how it appears on the website. I fell head-over-heels for the dress once I slipped it on. I felt so 60s, and you know what? The dress sorta reminds of one that Carey Mulligan wears in the film, An Education (2009) {which I haven't seen. Only tons of screen-caps and I have listened to the soundtrack.} Let me find a picture for y'all!

See, doesn't the dress remind you of hers? Of course, the skirt on the one I'm wearing is full, and the floral pattern is not the same, nor is the neckline. But, both dresses have the same feel & color scheme. Btw, isn't Carey Mulligan just the cutest thing ever!? Love her.

Anyhow, you can buy this dress if you want it, right here. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I had the extra money, and if it wasn't near Christmas right now. But hey! That means one of you can own this adorable dress, instead of me, unless it is still around after Christmas and I can buy it then. *wink*
