Let's start out with the products that are featured in the picture on the left. The Maybelline Better Skin Foundation arrived near the end of July from Influenster for me to test out and review for Maybelline's #betterskinchallenge. I've worn it everyday since last Tuesday with my Urban Decay NAKED SKIN concealer for my under-eyes, and I blend it all in with my beauty blender. Which btw, I seriously need a new one as mine is looking yucky.
So far I've been really loving the foundation and it has been lasting all day even with the hot summer heat [and a car with no AC].
This past Saturday Simply Chic had a 80% clearance sale from 4pm-8pm and I HAD to stop in to see what was marked down. I wasn't able to get there until 30 minutes before closing, as I was working a wedding all that afternoon/early evening.
I did found three really great basics for under $10. GAP 1969 bootcut jeans, a black LOFT blouse [prefect for work], and a black & white striped blazer [something that has been on my wish list for several years].
I have already worn all three pieces and the outfits are featured on my Instagram [@bramblewoodfashion].
Today I ran into Clothes Mentor as their clearance was marked down for $1 & $3, and I was able to find a black on black floral sheath dress that looks very 1960s from Talbots.
This evening a fun package from Butter London arrived, which included part of their collection with Allure Magazine. I'm trying at the shade: Nude Stilettos tonight which is a sheer nude pink.
I can't wait to try out more of the other shades in the coming weeks, but I'm not too sure about the brown creme shade -- I'm more into purples, pinks, and reds [sometimes I will do baby blues & mints], but we will see. ;)
Since they sent me two sets, I will have to do a Butter London giveaway either later this month or early September. What do y'all think? As I have several extra products from BL.
The last thing I have to show y'all is an Ulta Beauty haul video that I did two weeks ago, at least I think it was. Time has been flying by so fast, that I'm not sure anymore.
One last thing, JORD loved our collaboration & y'alls reaction so much that they want to give three of you the chance to win some gift cards to JORD. Yay! The giveaway will run until August 10th @ 11:59PM. a Rafflecopter giveaway
hi this is a great post - i am allergic to maybelline foundations and face products and most eye products except eyeshadow and the foundations are also to dark for me anyway, i do use w7 for most of my foundations and they make on called skin fresh and its looks like the better skin one and its only $5 and out here in Australia that's cheap as most brands like maybelline cost $20 and Revlon, L oral Paris are $30 so its good and w7 brand i am not allergic to any of their products.ReplyDelete
I need to try that Naked Skin concealer - I've heard so many good things about it. :) I might also give the maybelline foundation a try as well!ReplyDelete
I would love a butter London giveaway!
