When I was fixing my hair and applying my makeup yesterday afternoon, as I was getting ready for work last night all I could think was how much my look reminded me of Cinderella [at the ball, or once she is a Princess]. Perhaps it was the color of my shirt, the sparkly headband, or how my hair looped around when styled with the headband. It couldn't be my eye makeup, as I went with a silvery smokey eye look with black winged eyeliner [a new look I've been trying out this week].
Anyhow, I was excited to find these dress pants at my favorite local consignment shop earlier this month, especially since I've been on the hunt for another pair since last September. I like skinny pants and all, but sometimes one just wants a looser fit for a change of pace. After I picked these up at the consignment shop, I did some research on the brand and discovered that go for between $200 - $300 on Nordstrom's website! To say the least, I would never pay that much for a pair of dress pants [a Kate Spade dress, perhaps], but I have discovered that the higher-end brands tend to fit me best, so I'm incredibly thankful to have resources that allow me to purchase those brands for real cheap.

Your hair is beautiful! How did you do it?
ReplyDeleteI just tucked my hair up into my headband. It is super easy to do, but you have to do it with day or two old hair -- as freshly washed hair won't stay up.
DeleteOh! So lovely, Ashley! Hair tutorial??
ReplyDeleteThose pants look so great on you, very flattering, definitely gives a more feminine outline-perhaps why it's so Cinderella-esque?

DeleteHey, love the outfit! Especially the cardigan with the button-down shirt - super professional but somehow romantic, if that makes sense? What does GC stand for?
ReplyDeleteIt makes total sense, Lauren. :) GC stands for gift card.
DeleteOhh haha I probably should have figured that out. Anyway, thanks for the awesome outfit inspiration, you're on my favorites list at www.skirtsy.blogspot.com :)
