What I'm Wearing
Floral 1950s Sundress -- Made by Me [sewing review post]
Cardigan -- Forever 21 [don't remember]
Hat -- H&M [$12.95]
Earrings -- LeTote [$8]
Watch -- JCPenney [gift]
Wedges -- Ruche [$4]
Lipstick -- Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon in Trout Pout
When I came home from work yesterday morning, I really wanted to wear a vintage styled outfit for the rest of the day. I debated at first with wearing a skirt and a blouse, but nothing seemed perfect and I thought a dress would be more fitting when paired with these wedges from Ruche that I had picked up during their Black Friday sale last year. So I dug around for a vintage styled dress in my closet that would perhaps fit me, when I remembered this one that I had sewed back in March of 2011.
For some odd reason, my hair wasn't curling right today so I couldn't do the 1950s hairstyle I had in mind -- so I just made it work with a partial up-do. The lip crayon color was leftover from what I applied in-store at work to try out, and I must say, I'm very impressed with the color payoff and lasting staying power -- as it as lasted through a meal, snack, and me drinking tea & water. #mustpurchasesoon
