Lime Ricki Swimwear Review

Hello everyone! I have another Lime Ricki swimwear review to share with y'all today. I worked with them last summer, and they asked if I wanted to team up again this Spring. Of course, I said yes as they have some of the cutest swimsuits [that aren't all bikinis].

I don't know about you, but sometimes it is a struggle to find cute swimsuits in stores that aren't in a bikini style. Yes, I don't wear bikini and I never have, so I personally prefer one-pieces or tankini tops with either a skirt or shorts. But stores like to have their more modest swimsuits made out of the more ugly fabric, whilst the skimpy suits are in the fun and girly fabrics. Not fun. Unless you can track down some vintage style suits at Target sometimes, or you purchase your suit at Lands End or something.

What I like about Lime Ricki is that they carry a bunch of swimsuits that fit in with my personal swimsuit needs and taste. I adore a good one-piece swimsuit that has a vintage style twist: like the halter neck [love them on a swimsuit]. But enough talking about Lime Ricki, lets talk about the swimsuit I picked out for myself.

What I'm Wearing
Lace Tank -- c/o OASAP
Swimsuit -- c/o Lime Ricki
Shorts -- Target via Simply Chic
Sandals -- Forever 21
Earrings -- c/o Rocksbox [Use my code: bramblewoodxoxo]

After pouring over their newest collection, I knew I wanted this adorable mint halter-neck styled swimsuit to be my own. For sizing I went off what I learned from my review last year and went with a medium -- which turned out to be the perfect choice.

Shirred Band Seafood One-Piece [$69.50] --  Since I sized up too much for my bottoms last year from Lime Ricki, I decided to go with a size medium for the one-piece. It turned out to be the perfect choice, as this suit fits me beautiful all around. It does feel a bit snug when pulling it up, but once it is on it feels fine and like it was made to fit me. The top part of the swimsuit isn't too low cut at all, which was a worry of mine [since I typically have to wear tanks or camp's underneath too-low cut swimsuits], as I can bend over and nothing show as it lays against my skin perfectly. #bestswimsuitever To say the least, I am perfectly happy with this swimsuit and I can't wait to wear it this summer on the two trips that I'm hopefully going to be going on [especially since I haven't been out-of-state on a vacation since 2013].

For my closing statements, I would have to echo what I said last year as my thoughts on Lime Ricki haven't changed one bit. Overall, the workmanship on these swimsuits is top-notch. I would say they are on-par with any top swimsuit brand you may consider purchasing from. Who is Limi Ricki best suited for? Ladies who like a swimsuit that has modesty features [higher-ish necklines/ longer-ish skirts/etc...], cute/fashionable/modern designs, and young looking [meaning you don't look like a Grandma]. I, for one, am that type of girl.

I know that everyone doesn't agree with my views on swimwear, but that is one of the beauties of modesty. EACH family is different and UNIQUE with their own set standards of modesty. Please respect my views & don't try to preach to me about my views, and tell me how I'm wrong and not a true Christian for not holding the same views as you -- that is legalism, trying to get everyone to live to the same set of rules, and imposing them on others. I received a hate comment last year for wearing this type of swimsuit, heck I get one every time I share what I wear at the beach. But I have some AMAZING blog readers and they will support my statement.

  1. Thank you so much for showing off the new swimsuit! It looks great on you! So on a scale of 1-5 what do you think of Lime Ricki? I found out about that company last year but did not buy because I had bought a suit on another online store (divinita sole) but was disappointed with it... Thankfully I got my money back! They had a no return policy for half the suit... the other half you had to keep (thankfully I convinced them to let me return the other half) it was a nightmare trying to figure it out... Sadly I didn't even get real money back. It was just store credit and when I went to buy something with it I had to pay shipping (Which is really a bummer because I still had/have lots of credit left). Do they have good customer service? Sorry if I complained a lot...

  2. So cute!
It's awesome how many new companies there are. I was looking for a swimsuit many years ago and got super frustrated because NOBODY was selling modest swimsuits at that time.
