Styling Heeled Booties Two Ways | #MYDUO

Today I'm going to be sharing two ways you can style the Vita booties from DUO Boots. The first look is something I would wear for a casual day perhaps filled with shopping, running errands, and an afternoon of baking. For some people this look may be a little too fancy, but sometimes one needs to live a little and do something crazy and fun: like wear heels all day around the house or whilst running errands.

What I'm Wearing
Striped Tunic-- Anthropologie via Clothes Mentor [$6]
Black Skinny Trousers -- H&M [$18]
Cardigan -- Target [$10]
Earrings -- Forever 21 [$4.80]
Nail Polish -- Essie in Fuji
Lipstick -- NARS Velvet Matte Pencil in Damned

What I'm Wearing
Black Wool Dress -- J.Crew via Simply Chic [$10 or $15]
Cardigan -- Lauren Conrad for Kohl's [don't remember]
Tights -- Worthington [$5]
Vita Booties -- c/o DUO Boots
Bow Post Earrings -- Lauren Conrad for Kohl's [gift]
Lipstick -- NARS Velvet Matte Pencil in Damned
Lip Gloss -- c/o Borghese in Spark

This second look is something that I would wear to work. Of course, I can't wear reddish colors all year-round at Ulta Beauty, so I would switch it out for a color that is Ulta-approved for that given month. But hey, I didn't have to work the day I wore this outfit, hence I can wear the burgundy cardigan with this outfit.

There you have it, two different outfits you could wear with heeled boots. One for a more casual after-work outfit, while the other one is more fitted for either work or Church. If you are curious about the fit of the Vita boot, here are my thoughts on them. They are of very high quality, feel sturdy, and the bottoms are built like a snow boot [awesome for the winter months]. I picked them out in a size EUR 37, UK 4 [which is a USA 6.5], and they fit me well. They are a little loose around the ankle area, but then again, I have super skinny ankles -- plus, it doesn't effect the fit for me personally. I have worn these shoes all day and they felt rather comfy at the end of the day, so long as you aren't standing the entire day. Then it is another story. ;)

How would you style these booties?

  6. Ashley, you are just so beautiful :-) I love both of these outfits, and the photography is just stunning!

That's interesting; I didn't know Ulta had a "color of the month" for you to wear. What's this month's (red?)? (You've probably mentioned it before and I just didn't see it. . . . :{)

How would I style the booties? Hmm...I would probably wear them with a colored tights, a shirt dress, and a long coat!
