Sunday Style | 1930s Inspired

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing this Lord's day? I went to Church this morning with my family, came home for lunch afterwards, and so far this afternoon I've only been working on this outfit post. We live about 30-45 minutes away from Church, and by the time we make lunch most of the afternoon has past. Once I'm finished with this post I'm going to be putting away my Autumn/Winter clothes; make butterscotch & oatmeal cookies for a snack; play PS2 with my sister, Gaby; and do my bathroom chore for this week.

What I'm Wearing
Teal T-Shirt -- Ann Taylor [hand-me-down from Mum]
Black Wool Pencil Skirt -- J.Crew via Simply Chic [$12]
Fur Scarf -- J.Crew [$9]
Black Tights -- Target [$5]
Burgundy Wedges -- Payless Shoes [$5]
Satchel -- c/o OASAP
Beret -- c/o Alice Hannah
Hoop Earrings -- JCP [$3]
Nail Polish -- OPI in Sleigh Parking Only
Lipstick -- Too Faced in Bumbleberry

Whilst I was getting ready for Church this morning, all I knew was that I wanted to keep warm whilst in Church since cold weather has arrived to Indiana. With this in mind, I pulled out my wool pencil skirt from J.Crew, grabbed my teal tee shirt from Ann Taylor, and grabbed a pair of black tights out of my train case. Shoes was a 5 minute journey of walking back-and-forth from my closet to the only full-length mirror in our house to find the perfect pair of shoes [I tried on all my heels, but they kept slipping off because of my tights. #skinnyfeetprobs]. After trying on most of my shoes, I finally settled on my these wedges from Payless shoes that I found on clearance for $5 [last spring?] for an added pop of color. For warmth I grabbed my fur scarf from J.Crew and wool beret that Alice Hannah sent me last Winter.

What did y'all wear today?

  1. Oh gee-yeah! It snowed today...
Cold weather has it's benefits and drawbacks, cuter clothes (IMO), but you have to wear more of them. ;)

  2. The fall foliage is so pretty! I love your tights. I should get some colored tights for the autumn and winter months ... I don't think I have any at present.

Today I wore a ruched red blouse, a denim jacket, a denim midi skirt, and nude high heels. It was a little chilly though--hard to believe it's already November! Speaking of being cold, I also need to pick up some leggings, or my legs are going to freeze this winter. :)

  3. That's so cute! The bottom part of your outfit is very similar to mine today in the sense that I'm wearing a pencil skirt and tights... really nice for the colder weather! :)

  4. Another very classy outfit! :) Um, I wore a wool plaid sort-of-pencil skirt (my new favorite) and a matching yellow t-shirt, and (the best!!!) fleece-lined black tight with black flats.
