What I Wore | Hunter Green & Cream [+ Sweet Minerals Review & Makeup Tutorial]

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? I had yesterday and today off from both jobs, so I've been taking that time to work on blog stuff and I visited our art museum in downtown Indy this afternoon with some of my family. That was lots of fun! As I really enjoy looking at the art work -- it's the artist in me. There was even a special section in our museum about a painting that they bought after World War Two from a local veteran [who traded for it from a Russian officer], and they have been trying to locate who all the original owners have been for the painting for awhile now -- with no success. All very interesting.

What I'm Wearing
Cream Tee -- GAP [$6]
Hunter Green Cords -- Ann Taylor via Simply Chic [$14.40]
Black Flats -- Target [$15]
Nail Polish -- Essie in Lady Like
Lip Liner -- NYX in Mahogany
Lipstick -- Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Peony

The day I wore this outfit I knew it was going to be a rather relaxed day filled with filming videos, editing videos, writing blog posts, and making dinner for the family. For a rather relaxed day in I opted for just some cords, a tee shirt, and some flats -- keeping it simple folks. Also, yes, that is a stain on my tee shirt. Don't judge, but I have problems with keeping white or cream shirts spotless when I work with red sauces [a.k.a making pasta sauce for dinner].

Back in August I was sent some samples from a lady who sells Sweet Minerals to try out and review for y'all. Well, around the time arrived I was in the middle of applying/starting my job at Ulta, so I couldn't wear this brand too much, since we have to wear brands that they sell whilst at work. So I didn't get around try this stuff out until September, when life had a lull and I could test out new makeup on a day off.

Oh, my. I never really thought I would be a mineral makeup kinda-girl, since I like my liquids, creams, and pressed powders. But this stuff is amazing and feels really light-weight on my skin -- which is always a plus in my book. The foundation matches my skin well [I'm in c-1 fair], and really creates a even-toned look to my skin and kinda lets my freckles show through. Of course, my skin is so clear that any foundation would look amazing on my skin. The blush and eyeshadows are powerful stuff, so you have to use a light hand when applying them, as you can easily over-do it really fast. Overall, I really enjoyed Sweet Minerals products, as they feel amazing on my skin and the color payoff is excellent.

To order via Jamye [who sent me the products to try out] visit her Facebook page: Sweet Minerals with Jamye

Also, after filming the tutorial I decided to fill in my brows and add some black liner, so that isn't mentioned in the tutorial. *grin*

Have you tried Sweet Mineral's out before? Also, would you like more tutorials like this featured within outfit posts?
