Ulta Chic | Black & Leopard Print

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing? This morning I attended Barry Stebbing's nature art class and I worked on improving my watercolor skills -- which was great fun, since I really enjoy working with all types of paint mediums. After class we came back home for lunch, and I had to get ready for work at Ulta this afternoon/evening.

What I'm Wearing
Black Tunic -- Target via Simply Chic [$6]
Black Dress Pants -- Target via Simply Chic [$8]
Leopard Print Scarf -- Simply Chic [$4.80]
Gold Post Earrings -- Click Six [$1.99]
Black Socks -- Kohl's [don't remember]
Black Shoes -- Skechers via Famous Footwear [Don't remember]
Lipstick -- Too Faced La Creme in Bumbleberry [$16.50]

I wore this outfit to work on Tuesday of this week, since I was working TASK that shift I kept it fairly simple and warm [it can get very cold outside, when taking out the trash to the dumpster]. I also opted for pants, since I would be down on my knees a lot stocking shelves, and I always feel more comfortable in pants over a dress or skirt when I'm doing TASK [don't have to worry about anything showing].

Well, I better going. It has been a very long day and I have to get my rest for a more even longer day tomorrow.

  1. Hi Ashley, I was wondering if you could possible answer a quick question of mine?
I'm a homeschooler and in a few months I'm going to graduate. I'm thinking about getting a job maybe next year, and I wanted to know what it's like working at a makeup store. I think it would be really fun, but do you need to know how to apply makeup professionally? Thanks so much for your time, have a great day and God bless.

    1. Hey Kristen,

At Ulta if you apply to be a cashier and/or TASK worker, you won't need to know how to apply makeup professionally. If you want to be a prestige girl, you will need to know how to color match people, how to create lots of looks for all-types of people, etc... Working at Ulta has been a fun experience for me so far, and has been the perfect fit and answer to prayer for me personally.

  2. I love it! If you are comfortable showing your paintings I would love to see some in a blog post! I'm kind of a beginner watercolorist myself, and am still slightly uncomfortable sharing paintings on my blog so I completely understand if you'd rather not. :) Just thought I'd throw it out there!

    1. Alright, I guess I'll do a post sometime of my art work for y'all to see. If you like the work of Vincent van Gogh, you will like my stuff, as I like working with lots of bold colors. Though my watercolors are more soft and light.

  5. What a simple, stylish look you're wearing! I love animal print minimally - as an accent piece, it works so well. Clothing is so inexpensive in Indiana - count yourself lucky, my dear! xoxo

  6. I love all-black outfits, with a pop of a pattern or a splash of color. You look adorable, and I can totally picture you working at Ulta:)
