What I Wore | Neutral Layers + A Pop of Red

Hello lovelies! How are y'all doing today? Today has been a fairly whirlwind day between running errands with my Mum, and sisters: Gaby & Hanne; fixing a bridesmaid dress [again], and doing several other things [which will be mentioned below]. I kinda wrote this post backward tonight, hence there isn't too much up on top. haha...well, continue reading for more. :)

Oh, during the first of the half of the week in the coming week, there won't be too many posts as I work Sunday - Tuesday; have the Seniors Luncheon on Wednesday; have to refashion my dress for a friends wedding sometime before Saturday; and I will be doing the bride's makeup [and anyone's hair & makeup, who need help] for said wedding on Saturday; oh, and I'll be be helping with serving the food at the wedding too.
What I'm Wearing
Jumper -- H&M [$10]
Grey Tee -- c/o OASAP
Skinny Jeans -- Jessica Simpson via Simply Chic [$2.40]
Prescott Riding Boots -- JustFab [$39.99]
Leopard Print Scarf -- J.Crew via Simply Chic [$8]
Post Earrings -- Kohl's [FREE]
Lipstick -- Hikari in Cabernet [via Ipsy Bag
Nail Polish -- Butter London in Toff [$7.50]

It has been on the chiller side this weekend, so I opted for autumn/winter weekend uniform of jeans, jumper, and boots -- an outfit I've been dying to wear all summer. For some reason this morning when getting ready, I wanted to wear my looser tee so that meant pulling this grey one from OASAP [I do have a black version too, but I will be wearing black tomorrow afternoon/evening at work], it also meant very little color in today's outfit, except for my red lipstick. *grin*

This evening I played a little bit of football toss with my brother, Nathanael; baked cookies; made lunch for tomorrow after Church; and later I will be taking my shower and watching something to wind down [perhaps the newest DW episode]. Though, I also need to pick out my outfits for tomorrow [Church & work], and get my work purse packed. Gosh. I have a lot to do tonight.

How did you spend your Saturday?

  1. I love this outfit on you, Ashley! It's gorgeous. You style fall fashion so well :)

My Saturday hasn't been very eventful. I've been housesitting, so I've done very little besides take care of the animals for three different places and water the garden and flowerbeds. I need to get to washing the dishes before I go watch some more Downton Abbey :)

    1. Also, Ashley, I wondered if I might borrow a picture from this post for a blog post I'm hoping to put up today entitled "2014 Fall Fashion Picks." I would leave a link to this post, of course. :)

    2. Aww..thanks so much! I have come to realize that I adore fall fashion, and I wish that we could wear it all year round. :)

Ooh...[i]Downton Abbey[/i]. How is the show? I haven't watched it since the middle of series three, right before Sybil dies. :)

Sure, feel free to use any picture for your post. Thanks for asking. :)

    3. Oh, I know! I'd love to wear it all year :)

It's good! I'm enjoying it a lot. I haven't yet seen series 3 or 4 though, so I'm not sure how they'll turn out :) (But I already knew Sybil dies in S3, so you don't have to feel bad about telling me! :) It does make me sad though as she is one of my favorite characters.)

Thank you muchly for your permission!

  2. Love the outfit Ashley! I spent my Saturday with a run to Ulta to pick up my two Butter London polishes, and stopped off at LOFT for their 40% off sale! Then I went to a local coffee shop with a friend, and baked a birthday cake with my sisters. We've had chilly weather here as well today!
    Fall is just the best.

  4. So cute! I love it when you do little "pops" of color! My Saturday was spent doing normal Saturday stuff... cleaning the bathroom, checking blog and e-mail stuff, reading, etc. I'm currently reading some of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries... let's just say BBC totally nailed it with the story line and characters! Y'know the first time you see Sherlock? That's the first thing you hear about him in the actual book! They stayed so true to the story, it's crazy!

    1. Thanks! They are my favorite kinds of outfits to do. ^_^

Yay! You are reading the stories & watching the show. I must say, it is rather fun to see how close they actually stay to the stories within the show. Not many fans read the stories, so I'm glad to hear that you are doing it right. :)

    2. You're certainly right about that! It's so fun seeing how close they're keeping the show to the actual books. I'm really enjoying it!
