Ulta Chic | Thrifted Work Style

Hello lovelies! So, yeah, my last post was an Ulta Chic post, but life has been crazy for me this past week. I worked from Sunday through Thursday last week. Friday I was busy with life & movie night of watching Cap 2 with my siblings and some friends. Saturday, one of my dear friends got married [y'all can see pictures from the wedding here] and I did the makeup of several of the bridesmaids & the Bride; I also helped with plating & serving the food at the wedding. Then on Sunday I had church in the morning & my brother, Nathanael had a Fall League baseball game that evening at Butler -- he hit his first triple in High-School baseball that night. Lot of fun, but tiring times.

What I'm Wearing
Black Top -- Madewell via Simply Chic [$12]
Black Dress Pants -- Target via Simply Chic [$8]
Post Earrings -- Click Six [$1.99]
Cream Belt -- Forever 21 [$4.80]
Black Skechers -- Famous Footwear [Don't remember]
Lip Stain -- L'OrĂ©al Colour Riche Lip Stain in Coral Tattoo [$2.98]
Nail Polish -- OPI in Berlin There Done That [Free]

Early this morning [say 5:20am when I was getting dress], I was wearing a few more layers as it was only in the 40s outside: a cream jumper from Old Navy via thredUp, mint infinity scarf c/o Caroline Hill Collection, and black fingerless gloves via Target. Of course, when I came out of work at Ulta at a little after 11:30am, it was much warmer so I didn't wear the extra layers. *smile*

Anyhow, I could hardly sleep last night since I had to wake up at 5:00am this morning. I have this thing, where I have nightmares about oversleeping when ever I have to wake up super early in the morning. To say the least, I don't get much sleep. When I did get up, I wanted to keep my outfit & makeup super simple: all black outfit [with the pop-of-color, not seen in these pictures] and just mascara & a lip-stain for my makeup.

Well, I better going as The Voice is on TV right now, and I can't watch that show and write. *grin*

    1. Captain America 2 is amazing!! I actually saw it in the theaters back in May twice, so to say the least, I was already a huge fan of the film. :)

  2. I can completely sympathize with you on the over sleeping thing. Only my nightmares about it came dangerously close to being real over the summer-I had to wake up early to catch a bus, then a flight...my alarms failed and I woke up with 8 minutes to spare. :)
    Cute outfit!

  4. Oooh, I really like The Voice! Such an awesome show. I love your outfit too :)

I tend to sleep badly when I have to wake up early too. The last couple nights I also had bad dreams about school grades :P Not fun.

  5. Cute!
Lol! I 100% know what you mean, only I wake up every hour checking the clock. Usually I'll get up at least an hour before I need to, for the simple reason that I can't sleep. :)

  6. So we watched the first Doctor Who episode... I can see what you meant about it being low-budget. :) I was just wondering, I found out that Moffat didn't join the Doctor Who team until the fifth season... would it be awful to start there? Would I have any idea who the characters were? Or would you suggest sticking it out through those first five seasons? Thanks!

    1. Yes!! It would be awful to start with series five, as you would miss so much storyline. The show really starts to get better in the middle of series one, so stick to it. I know of people who skip straight to series 5 [because of Matt Smith, the production level, etc...], and they love the show, but you miss WHO the Doctor is, his heartaches, references, meeting of important characters, oh so much! Stick to it, m'dear. Also, one of my favorite actors, David Tennant, is in series 2-4. ;)

    2. OK! Thanks! :) I understand completely... It would be like someone trying to start Sherlock in season 2 or 3... they may still enjoy it but they would miss SO much! ;)
