After seeing Agent Carter pop-up in the recent episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, I've been super excited for her show to air in January, and have been in the mood for a bit of 1940s inspired hair and makeup -- plus my nails were already red. To complete my 40's inspired makeup look, I went with a simple brown toned wash of color on my eyes [Urban Decay], with some brown eyeliner [Pacifica Beauty], and black mascara [Benefit]. For my face makeup I kept it fresh & clean with just foundation [Bourjois], concealer for my under eyes [NYX Cosmetics], and blush [Jouer]. Of course, for my red lip I used a red lip liner [Essence Cosmetics], balm matte stain [Revlon], and a lip stain [L'Oreal Paris] to make sure that my color didn't go anywhere whilst at work.
Now, you may be wondering why I have a picture of me holding a football in the last picture. Well...my brother said that I should included it, to show off my sporty side, since I enjoy football [mostly just college], baseball, and hockey mostly.
Well, I better sign-off as me and Hanne-col are watch Mulan [1998] for the first time this evening, and there are some hilarious moments in this film.

Fun outfit! :D I like the layered look of the dress and shirt, as well as your makeup. :)
ReplyDeleteDear Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! As a Christian girl myself, I only recently became concerned with modesty. Your blog has inspired me and given me ideas. I feel truly blessed to have come across this lovely internet space of yours. May God bless you and continue to grow your ministry, one post at a time.
Love,
Elle
That dress is so pretty! My sister has one just like it! I love that make-up look!

you are so pale and pretty:)~Lee
ReplyDeleteMulan?!? that is the best movie ever!! is it the Disney one? And I love this whole outfit! I have every single makeup piece you said, so I might copy this look! I have a short black dress, but it is a little too short so I will have to sew ribbon on the bottom to make it fit my standards. :) Thanks for the modest encouragement! -Abi
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, Ashley!
