What I Wore | Lily Collins Inspired Outfit for Work

Hello lovelies! So I've noticed that I have just done like a row of Lily Collins type posts & videos [on my YouTube channel] this week, that perhaps you can just tell that I'm really, truly loving her style right now. What do y'all think? *grin*

What I'm Wearing
Jumper -- H&M [$3.50]
Jean Pencil Skirt -- J.Crew via thredUp [$5.93]
Leopard Flats -- Target [$15]
Gold Post Earrings -- Click Six [$1.99]
Midi Rings -- Forever 21 [$1.90]
Rose Gold Chain Necklace -- Simply Chic [don't remember]
Nail Polish -- OPI in Berlin There Done That
Lipstick -- Bite Beauty in Musk [$12]

When getting ready for work today I had no time for doing my makeup [or hair], so I just wore a lipstick that was in my handbag today. Which was the Bite Beauty lipstick in Musk, which I picked up this past week at Sephora to get my Birthday Award. To say the least, when ever I try out high-end lipsticks I'm always falling-head-over-heels-in-love with the formulation and packaging. There is a difference between high-end and drugstore lipsticks, but I would say the closest drugstore brand to feeling like a high-end one would be the Kate Moss Rimmel London lipsticks. They are affordable & feel moisturizing on the lips. But enough about lipsticks.

For my outfit today, I copied an outfit that I had seen Lily Collins wear to a red carpet event or something. I can't remember exactly now, but the outfit is pictured to the right.

To copy the look, I kept with the same silhouette that Lily's outfit features: pencil skirt & boxy cut jumper. Her accessories are simple: short chunky chain necklace; with simple rings, bangles, and earrings. But decided to forgo wearing any bangles, since they would be in-pratical & they don't really fit my tiny wrists. Also, it was totally an accident that we are both wearing a grey nail polish with our outfit. Ah, yes, I also decided to forgo wearing any type of heeled shoe, since I would be doing a bit of driving & walking back-and-forth from the printer scanning files in the office today. So flats it was -- comfy & simple.

Would You Wear/Copy this Look? Let me know in the comments!

Also, do check out this $20 Makeup Challenge video that that I did with my friend, Grace! We both ended up doing a Lily Collins inspired makeup look, so it is fitting to included it with this outfit post.

  7. While you look absolutely adorable, I probably wouldn't copy it. I have an hourglass shape and have to be sure and wear fitted clothing-oversized shirts just make me look fat! ;)

Your body type looks terrific in this though! Great job!
