What I Wore | Taylor Swift Inspired Outfit for Spring

Hello everyone! We have been having spring like weather this week, which is awesome. I spent the day working on cleaning out my sewing area [found a bunch of unfinished costumes from my Senior year of high-school '08-'09]. Going to Starbucks to pick up my free drink [I chose the Hazelnut Frapp], driving with the windows down & listening to country music. How has your day been today?
What I'm Wearing
Red Sundress by Viola -- Anthropologie via Thrift Store [$8]
Chambray Button-Down -- J.Crew via Clothes Mentor [$14]
Moccasins -- Payless Shoes [$5]
Fawn Necklace -- Forever 21 [$2.80] {on sale for .99 right now}
Red Lipstick -- Cover Girl Flame [the same one that Taylor Swift wears] [$3.50]

Waking up this morning I knew I wanted to wear a dress, since it was going to a beautiful day. I decided after much thought, to wear this red sundress that I had picked up over the weekend at the thrift store. Since it isn't quite warm enough to do sleeveless yet, I decided to throw on a chambray button-down as a type of jacket [which is one of my favorite looks ever]. The red dress had Taylor Swift pop-into my head, so I decided to do my makeup inspired by her & wear some moccasins [which add a vintage flair]. I don't know about you, but I really love Taylor's style come spring & summer time. There is just something about this type of warmer weather that makes me want to dress more vintage-inspired. Btw, if you need some more Taylor Swift inspiration, I have a post written on her style & a whole Pinterest board dedicated to her.

Just so y'all know, we have a inspiration board on Pinterest, with ideas on how to style a button-down for our upcoming blog event. Also, if you need a more depth on how the blog challenge will work, check out this post that the Boyer girls wrote up.

  1. You are such a doll! That color lipstick looks fabulous on you (you should wear it more often!) Such an Anthro-esque outfit. Oh, and I'll have to agree with you: chambray button-downs are de-bomb ;) I'm actually thinking about wearing mine for the #1top3days challenge... we'll see :)

    Cute and classy as always <3

  2. Super cute outfit! Very pretty! I recently picked up some chambray shirts myself (wanting to use them for this exact purpose!). Love them over dresses!

    Love your red lipstick too... you wear it in such a classy way!

    Blessings!

    I'm so jealous!
    We are having "decent" weather-but not as nice as I'd like...
