What I Wore | Sequins + Chambray

Hello my lovelies! My outfit for today is the perfect mix of dressy & casual with the sequins, polka-dots, chambray, and yes, even some leopard print. Haha...yeah, I'm really stepping out of my comfort zone with this outfit, as I have never worn sequins before. I only got interested in trying sequins out after meeting the Long Ladies, who love their sequins. Thanks for the inspiration girls! Onto my outfit, as I will have to be leaving soon for my nanny job.
What I'm Wearing
Sequin Tank -- Express via Thrift Store [$12]
Polka-Dot Long Sleeved Tee -- Old Navy [$3.99]
Chambray Button-Up -- J. Crew via Clothes Mentor [$14]
Skinny Jeans -- Jessica Simpson via Thrift Store [$2.40]
Leopard Print Flats -- Target [$15]
Statement Earrings -- c/o Caroline Hill Collection

I'm so in love with this chambray button-up. It is the perfect colour to wear with dark wash denim, it fits perfectly [not too tight or loose], is super soft, and you can wear it as either a jacket or a top. Hmm...perhaps my next fashion blog challenge should be to style a chambray. What do y'all think? Let me know in the comments down below! As I really want to do more challenges this year, perhaps even one a month. Say what?

  4. This is such is pretty outfit. I was actually surprised that you said you were stepping out of your comfort zone. I would definitely love to do more challenges. I just recently bought a chambray top and haven't really figured out more than one outfit to wear it with yet, so I think that would be a lot of fun!

Could you reply with a few tips for finding great stuff in thrift stores? Thank you!

    1. - Don't be disappointed when you can't find what you want/need at the thrift store, as it can take a lot of trips before you find something good.
      - Try to keep to the higher-end brand clothing, as it will last longer & typically fits better too.
      - Hunt around your town/city for your go-to thrift store and check it regularly.
      - Ask your friends [who love thrifting] what their favorite stores are.

  11. Ash, You look absolutely fabulous darling!! We're so glad we were able to inspire you in the sequins area. *grin* As you know, I love most anything blingy. I love the way you layered a tank over the long sleeve shirt.... great idea. When I look at your outfits, I'm always inspired to try new things!
    Love you SOOOOO much!!

  12. Love your casual chic look. The sequin top is cute. I got a nice sequin tank top as well from our local thrift store and a vintage sequin top from an online shop stores.ebay.com/vintageswank. I discovered the shop through a blog (link below). I would definitely say yay! if you'll style a chambray.
