What I Wore | Roses Make Everything Nice

Hello my lovelies! I have a rather fun outfit photo-shoot to share with y'all today. You see, last Friday I received some roses from the lovely website, The Bouqs [I was able to pick out what flowers I wanted] to review and share with y'all. I was rather impressed with their shipping & packaging, but I will be sharing more about them later.

Today I didn't have to go anywhere until this evening, which was just lovely as I don't have many full days at home anymore. Which explains my lack of articles, outfit post, and YouTube videos recently. Anyway, I spent the day working on editing & uploading a haul video; watching some episodes of my favorite TV shows; tidying up my bedroom [which was sorely needed]; going with my Dad to drop off his car at the mechanic; and going to my youngest sister's softball practice this evening. Whew, that is a lot.
What I'm Wearing
High-Waisted Jeans -- J. Crew via Thrift Store [$15]
Purple Top -- Kohl's [Hand-me-Up from Gaby]
Leopard Print Flats -- Target [$15]
Earrings -- Forever 21 [$2.80]
Lipstick -- Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Blushing Rose [$3]
Pretty in Pink Roses -- c/o The Bouqs

Come springtime the wind comes into full force out where we live, which is rather sad since I love wearing dresses come springtime. And of course, the only dresses that look best of my body type [pear shape] are the ones with full skirts -- which means they are the perfect type to fly up to your face. Not very modest. Sometimes I wish one could put weights into the skirts of full styled dresses, to prevent any Marilyn Monroe moments one could have. So instead I opted for some nice jeans, a blouse-y top, statement earrings, fun flats, and tried out several fun lip products throughout the day. *grin*

The roses I am featuring in today's outfit post are from the website: thebouqs.com. In case you are wondering, the flower bouquet I picked out are called, Pretty in Pink [it is the smallest bunch, which costs: $40]. All of their flowers come in three different sizes: Original [$40], Deluxe [$50], Grand [$70], meaning there is something for everyone's taste and budget. Of course, I recommend ordering at least a week before you want them delivered, as most of their flowers come straight from their South America farm & it takes about four-to-five days to arrive. Of course, if you want flowers delivered next day, you can pick out a bouquet from their California Collection [as this farm is located in California].

The roses arrived in a beautiful box, but tragically, I accidentally deleted my pictures of the box and of course, the box is now in the trash. Oh well, it was beautiful. Perhaps if you google for other reviews of the company, you can find some pictures of the adorable packaging. Otherwise, I recommend you check out The Bouqs if you ever need to order some flowers for some special occasion [Mothers Day, perhaps]

  1. It seems like you *should* be able to put at least a light weight in a skirt hem, but then again if your spring is anything like my spring, it wouldn't do any good!

  4. Hi! I just started following your blog and love your style, it's very inspiring. I live in the Netherlands, and there's a lot of wind here as well (plus everyone cycles everywhere, bad combination!), so someone invented the 'nomonro' dress clip (http://www.nomonro.com/en) - I kid you not. It's a true life saver ;D

  6. Very nice outfit, Ashley!
*sigh* my spring has been pure misery!! 65 one day, snowing the next! Flip flops and short sleeves, then back to long sleeves and boots! Summer needs to hurry up and come!

  7. Ahh, yes, wind and full skirts. You might try getting some curtain weights--the tiny knitted/mesh tube-types with little lead pellets in them--and sewing them into your dress hems. *Shrug*

Beautiful roses! There's just something so sweet and innocent about white roses with pink centers, aye? Wow.

    God bless,
