1 Button-Down | 3 Days | 3 Ways [Day 1]

Hello everyone! It is day one of 1 top | 3 days | 3 ways blogging event, and I can't wait to see everyone's outfits! Today in central Indiana is a dark, dreary, and stormy kind of day -- not good for taking pictures. So, I improvised and took pictures inside our kitchen. So please, pardon the cluttered background. *smile*
What I'm Wearing
Lace Sundress -- ASOS [$25]
Cissus Button-Up by: Sanctuary -- Anthropologie via Clothes Mentor [$14]
Combat Boots -- JCPenny [gift]
Lace Socks -- Forever 21 [$2.80]

As you can see, I went with my Anthro green gingham button-down for the event. Today I decided to wear it over a lace midi-dress for a skirt & top effect. With the combat boots and lace socks, my outfit has a early 1900s inspired look [kinda reminds me of that French girl in War Horse], or like something you might find at Anthro. Anyhow, I have discovered a new favorite outfit!

Don't forget to check out my co-host's: Fresh Modesty, Creations by Callie, and The Boyer Family Singers outfit posts too! You can link up your outfit for today below [Instagram hashtag: #1top3days]:

  1. Hi everyone!

I'm pretty new to the blogosphere but I've been reading Bramblewood Fashion for several months. I would love for you guys to check out my blog at http://irelandrhea.blogspot.com/ and follow it if you like what you read. I just did my first outfit post yesterday.

I love that color green, Ashley! We have very different styles, but your outfits are very creative... that's one of the biggest reasons I like this blog. Looking forward to the next 2 days of this event!

    xoxo,
    Ireland

  5. Okay, I am not sure why my link showed up three times (because I refreshed the page?); I am sorry about that, how do I fix that?
I love the lace! I wore a top over a dress too.

  7. I'm glad you went with the green gingham. I have admired that shirt in previous posts and am on the lookout for something similar to purchase myself! Your lace sundress is lovely and looks great with the shirt! By the way, I think e yellowish tones of your indoor photos give a more vintage feel to the whole ensemble!

  8. I personally love the fact that you took the photos in your kitchen :) It's so nice to be able to see more of your house!

And I of course love the style :) It was a great idea to wear the dress underneath because that way you don't have to deal with the issues of showing skin above the top of your skirt (when your button-up is tied).

  9. I love the color coordinations. Green, white, cream, and brown. Perfect.
