What We Wore | when it looks like winter

| post by Gabrielle |
Dreary saturdays are not the most pleasant thing in the world; especially after working in an office all week when it was sunny and gorgeous outside. But I made the most of the winter like weather and wore my favorite new blouse with lots of color and floral that I persuaded Ashley to trade to me. Sisters with similar sizing are the best. Without further ado, here is what Ashley and I wore today. [Please forgive my half asleep and dazed facial expressions.]

Cissus Button-Up by: Sanctuary -- Anthropologie via Clothes Mentor [$14]
Skinny Jeans -- Jessica Simpson via Thrift Store [$2.40]
Tall Boots -- JustFab [$34]
Faux-Pearl Post Earrings -- Forever 21 [gift]
Lipstick -- Rimmel Airy Fairy [$4]
Aforementioned dazed and sleepy face. [I needed my coffee.]

Just ignore another sleepy and dazed face and focus on how lovely that blouse is! Gorgeous colors.

blouse -- C/O Oasap
jeans -- J. Crew via thrift shop [$8.00]
boots -- Steve Madden for Shoemint [$70.00]
watch -- Target [gift]
How are y'all enjoying your weekend? Last night Ashley and I went for a two mile bike ride then settled down to watch "You Gotta Stay Happy" with Jimmy Stewart and Joan Fontaine and eat ice cream. Today I cleaned, hung out with my family, and watched a Detroit Red Wings hockey game on TV. [They won, btw.]

Just in case you are interested I immediately made a latte after taking these pictures. Yep, all good now. I leave y'all with a picture of my beautiful purple tulips from Trader Joe's. I think they may be my favorite flower. They make me so happy.

  1. LOVE the flowery shirt!! In my world (the UP of Michigan), we are still knee-deep in snow, but since it's supposed to be spring, the super-wintery looking stuff does not "feel" right anymore. So I need to stay warm without looking like it's the day before (or after) Christmas. Tough call...

  6. Lovely flowers! You both look so cheery during this inbetween weather season. Last night it decided to turn into an impromptu blizzard.... oh well. :) I'm going to borrow your idea and dress happy for Monday.. because I've got to say, this week I'm dreading it a little. : / -Alexandra
