What I Wore | Inspired by the blog, Make Life Easier

Hello everyone!
How is your day today? Mine has been kinda relaxing. I've worked on planning a 1950s sundress that I want to sew. Started on dinner. Prepared for a video that I'm hopefully filming tomorrow. Worked on some behind-the-scenes type blog work. Listened in on some of my siblings home-school lessons. To say the least, I feel very refreshed and ready to go babysit this evening.

What I'm Wearing
Camel Coat -- Forever 21 [$10.50]
Camel Jumper -- Banana Republic via thredUP [$6.43]
Jean Pencil Skirt -- J.Crew via thredUP [$5.93]
Boots -- JustFab [$34]
Earrings -- BaubleBar [gift]
Butterfly Flexi Clip -- c/o Lilla Rose
Key Necklace -- Forever 21 [$3.80]
Floppy Hat -- Forever 21 [$8]

My outfit for today was highly inspired by an outfit that one of the lovely ladies of the blog, Make Life Easier, wore back in January [pictured on the right]. If you don't read this blog you must, it is a daily read for both me & Gaby. Of course, in her outfit she was wearing jeans & some black booties. I just swapped out the jeans for a jean skirt [since I really wanted to wear this skirt today], and wore my tall boots, since my black booties won't be coming in the mail until tomorrow [and I didn't want to wear tights]. *grin*

I really love the way my hair turned out today. Typically I don't like my hair pulled back in this style, but Gaby helped me switch up my natural part [which is where I also have a cowlick] and it seems to be staying. Yay! Also with this new part, it helps appear that I have more hair [which is good]. With my hair getting longer I'm trying to come up with new hairstyles that flatter my face, besides doing my traditional curls & down.

Well...I better get going. Talk to you girls later.

  1. Ugh, cowlicks. Mine is part of what messes my ability to have bangs (that and oily skin and needing to be washed and styled constantly); they part in the middle (even with gel) like a 90's boy's hair! I loooooove Thred Up. I want a J Crew pencil skirt; they seem to have some of the greatest.

    1. I wish I could have bangs too! They look so cute on everyone else, but me. :(
You should check out J.Crew's pencil skirts, they are amazing!

  2. Adorable, Ashley! I'm sure you've thought of this, but you'd look super cute with a high ballerina bun! I'm so boring with my hair, any ideas for me? ;)

    1. Thanks for the suggestion, Natasha! Hmm..perhaps you could try out different braids, like: French braid, Fishtail, etc...

I think you've talked about this somewhere on the blog before...how do you find pencil skirts to wear modestly?
