Guest Post | Raquel @ God's Daughter

I've had a lot of my followers (both on my blog and on Instagram) ask me to do a fashion post on my blog because they love my sense of style.  But because my blog isn't about fashion-y stuff, I decided to take Ashley up on her offer to do a guest post here at Bramblewood.

Disclaimer: Some people have criticized me posting full-length photos of myself on GD and IG.  It's not because I'm seeking attention or wanting compliments because I'm insecure of myself.  These pictures are only to serve as examples of it being possible to dress attractively, comfortably and modestly.

Thank you for letting me stop by, Ashley, and I hope your readers will like my little guest post:)

This outfit was one I wore this last Sunday.  And yes, I wore three neutral colors, with a splash of jean.

What I'm Wearing:
Jean skirt / hand-me-down
Black pumps / Target
Nylons / Target
White lace tanktop blouse / hand-me-down
White three-quarter sleeved cardigan / hand-me-down
Camel colored sweater / Ross
Earrings / Walmart

If you couldn't already tell, I am a huge fan of hand-me-downs and cardigans.  A lot of people don't like admitting that they buy clothes at thrift stores or wear stuff given to them by friends, but honestly, that's what most of my wardrobe is made up of.  And I love it.

One thing I've noticed is that you can mix and match a lot of your clothes with any hand-me-downs and, as you saw, that's exactly what I did.  I was debating whether or not to wear a coral-colored v-neck under the white cardigan, but then decided on going a little more plain and classy looking.  The coral distracted from the camel sweater and I think the white tied everything in well.

Hope you all have a lovely rest of your month of March!  Stop by and visit my blog sometime.  I have a few giveaways coming up:)

  2. Oooh, lovely, Raquel! Recently I've discovered how classy neutral + neutral + neutral can be, and I've seen so many bloggers exemplifying this as well. That lace tank top is gorgeous, as well as the white cardigan + camel sweater.
