Happy Thanksgiving!

Psalm 100

Shout to Jehova all the earth,
Serve ye Jehova with gladness,
Enter his gates with singing mirth,
No that Jehova, he God is.

It”s He that made us and not we,
His folk and sheep of His feeding
Oh with confession enter ye
His gates, his courtyards with praising.

Confess to him, bless ye his name,
Because Jehova he Good is.
His mercy ever is the same,
And his faith unto all ages. Amen.

Happy Thanksgiving from our house to yours!

Outfit Ideas for Thanksgiving Day

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to be bring y'all a few ideas on what to wear this Thanksgiving. Depending on your style & where/how you will be celebrating Thanksgiving this year, should have some influence on what you decided to wear.

If you are type of person who loves the Football games on Thanksgiving day, here is a fun idea to show your team spirit, while keeping it stylish. This outfit will be perfect for going to your team's game & then to a Thanksgiving dinner afterwards. Or, if you just want to show your team spirit at either your family's big dinner get together, or any football party you just might be attending.

Thanksgiving Outfit #3

I'm a Detroit Lions fan, hence why their team shirt is featured in my Polyvore set. :) Anyhow, pairing the team shirt with some skinny jeans, booties, and some nice jewelry you can really dress up your look. I think this looks nicer than just throwing on a team shirt, jeans, some flats and just calling it a day. Try to make your outfit look kinda stylish & you feel like a million-bucks.

Thanksgiving Outfit #2

If you a jeans kinda girl, why not pull out your trouser or boot-cut jeans for a different/dressy look on Thanksgiving. You can pair it with a fun pull-over sweater & blouse underneath. Add a pop of color with your shoes (I picked out some really cute flats, but you could totally do some wedges or heels if that is what you want) & some simple post earrings.

Thanksgiving Style

If you would rather feel like you are in your sweatpants (but want to look nice), pull out your favorite knit maxi skirt and be comfortable! I paired this adorable chevron maxi skirt with a chambray button-down & mustard cardigan for a casual, yet stylish option. For accessories I chose a layered faux-pearl necklace & simple rose studs, and for shoes just some simple flats. You will love how you feel comfy, but look like you dressed nicely for the occasion.

What will you be wearing this Thanksgiving? Me? Perhaps some skinny jeans, blouse, boots, and a jumper. Not really sure, yet. :p

What I Wore | Modern Ballerina

What I'm Wearing
Peachy/Pink Dress -- Madewell ($20)
Taupe Jumper -- H&M ($10)
Black Sweater Tights -- Kohl's ($4)
Oxford Flats -- Modcloth ($15)
Key Necklace -- Forever 21 (Gift)
Bow Ring -- Madewell (Gift)
Lipstick -- NYC in Sheer Red
Nail Polish -- Very Cranberry by Essie

My. It has been awhile since I've done any kind of post on here. This past week was very crazy for me, I had some more health problems & I had a crazy hectic schedule. This past Saturday evening when me & Gaby went shopping at our local upscale mall for mom's birthday present, we ran into a few other stores: J.Crew, Madewell, The Body Shop, and LUSH. I picked up the dress I'm wearing today marked down to $20 at Madewell & Gaby bought me the bow ring as an early Christmas gift. Thanks so much, Gaby!! I also picked up my first bath bomb at LUSH in the scent So White (it has an apple orchard scent). Can't wait to try that out!

Anyhow....I adore this dress!! I'm going to be layering tights, leggings, and skinny jeans underneath it all winter long. I'm also doing to have to find other ways to keep my arms warm, since this dress is sleeveless. Any suggestions girls?

Oh, I finished editing my library book sale haul video this afternoon, so that should upload to YouTube this evening. In fact, I'll start uploading it as soon as I finish writing this post. *smile*

Friday Favorites

I adore this bunny jumper that I picked up at Target on clearance for $10 the other week. It is such a fun & cozy jumper to wear.

It has been awhile since I've picked up an Essie nail polish for my collection. So when I saw the colour Very Cranberry at Ulta a few weeks ago, I had to pick it up, as it is the perfect colour for fall & winter.

As I write this post, I'm waiting for the book sale to start where I'm hoping to find lots of treasures, but not too many since I am on a budget. I love finding old books, records, and movies for my ever growing collections. I'm working on growing my personal library, filled with all the books I loved reading in my childhood & teen years. Also, I have this thing against books published after the 1960s. I just love the feeling, smells, & morals that can be found in older books. It makes my heart go all pitter-pater. *sighs*

Well...I better get going. I'm going to buy a Jimmy John's BLT sandwich for my supper soon, that way I don't get hungry during the book sale. *grin*

What have y'all been loving this week?

What I Wore | #Throwback 1972 Inspired Outfit

What I Wore
White Blouse -- H&M (hand-me-up // free)
Sweater Vest -- Talbots Kids (Secondhand // free)
Bell-Bottom Jeans -- Faded Glory (Secondhand // free)
Oxford Heels -- Forever 21 ($21)
Floppy Hat -- Target ($5)

I woke up this morning wanting to wear a vintage inspired outfit. One problem, most of my vintage inspired skirts & dresses don't fit me right now -- which is awful. When glancing over my closet hoping to find something vintage inspired that would fit, I found these Faded Glory jeans that were labeled: 1972 bell-bottom jeans. Awesome. I don't usually go for the 70s look, but since I wanted to do wear something vintage inspired, why not try something new for a change. I hopped over to Pinterest to get a quick idea on what to pair with my jeans that was 70s inspired: I came up with this sweater vest & collard blouse. For shoes I knew I had to wear heels (otherwise my pant legs would drag on the ground), so I went with my oxford heels, which I have been wanting to pull out for awhile now. For a fun accessory I pulled out my burgundy floppy hat, I would have worn some hoop earrings too, but they have gone missing. Hmm...perhaps they fell behind my dresser.

What do y'all think? Does the outfit look very 1970s to you?
