Homemade Gluten-Free Apple Pie

Filling
5 C. Apples {about 5-6 apples}
1 /3  or  2/3 C. Sugar {depending on your taste}
1/4 C. Arrowroot powder
2 tsp. Cinnamon + any spices you enjoy! {I just shake them all in. No measuring for me.}
Splash of lemon juice (1-2 tsp)

Add all the ingredients together in the pie crust. Mix them together. Bake according to your pie crust instructions.

Crisp Topping
1 C. Almond meal flour from Trader Joe’s
1 C. Oats
1/2 C. Brown sugar
1/4 C. White/Evaporated Cane sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 C. Butter {soften}
1 tsp salt

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix with a fork until it crumbles. Add the crisp topping to your pie.

Pie Crust
For the pie crust I just use a pre-made gluten-free pie crust from the grocery store.

    Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
    By the way, where are you Black Friday shopping tomorrow? I'm just wondering where some of the best deals are, because I haven't been most years.
    Thanks!

    1. Yes, I am going Black Friday shopping tomorrow. There are some good deals at the following stores: Kohls, JCPenny, Ulta, Old Navy, H&M, Forever 21 (online), and Sephora. Also, our local thrift store is having the entire store on sale, which is pretty awesome. :)
