Instead of sharing with y'all what I wore to church today, I thought I would instead share my after church outfit for a change of pace. Of course, the only difference between the two outfits for today are my bottoms, as I wore a black chiffon skirt instead of jeans.

I really love this outfit, as it has a nice mix of dressy, yet it is really comfy with the jeans & graphic tee. Over this past year, I've come to love the graphic tee outfits I've found on Pinterest. Only problem, I tend to have a heard time personally styling them. Of course, part of the problem could be that my baseball team shirts are THE hardest thing ever to style in a feminine & stylish look. Hmm...that could be a fashion challenge for me to do sometime in the coming weeks.

Review + Giveaway

Anyhow, last month I was contacted by Laurel who works with Origami Owl, asking if I want to do a review & giveaway for y'all. As you can see, I said, yes. My locket is not completely full yet (as I still have some space), but I do have three cute charms in my locket that fit "my story". The first charm is of sewing scissors (to show my love of sewing), next we have a cameo (to show my love everything vintage), and the final charm is of a British phone box (which showcases my love of everything British & DW).

You see, the fun idea for these lockets is to create a locket that tells your story -- be that your dreams, who you are, where you have been, etc... That way, who ever sees your locket can see either your story or your dreams for the future. Besides having a great business mission, they also have THE cutest packaging -- your locket arrives in a darling shipping box, but that isn't the best part. Inside the adorable shipping box, you will find a Chinese takeout box & a little case for your necklace.

Let me share with y'all my overall thoughts on Origami Owl before we get to the giveaway portion of this post.

  • The shipping was fast. I can't give an exact date of how fast, since the necklace arrived while I was out of town earlier this month.
  • They have the cutest packaging ever!!
  • You get to create your own personal locket that no one else has.
  • A wide variety of options for you to create your necklace.
  • The only downside (for my younger readers & those on a budget) is the total price of the necklace. Of course, you could buy bits & pieces of your locket at a time, or ask for one as a gift.
Onto the giveaway, it is only open to those within the United States and closes on Monday, July 29th. On either Tuesday or Wednesday the winner will be announced in a blog post & emailed. You will have 48 hours to get back with me, before an other winner is picked. If you will be out of town on those dates, let me know in the comments below. Thanks! 1. I would love to win an OO locket! I would put stones of both my kids in, along with a cross to represent my relationship with Christ :)

  2. I love this! I know I would do a piano or music charm. I might do a four leaf clover charm to celebrate my Irish heritage (and love of Irish folk music!). Definitely a coffee cup... Probably a book charm... And most likely a cameo charm (I also am a vintage lover).

    What a great giveaway!

  7. I love these lockets, because they have more charms that appeal to a variety of unique girls and not just the typical diva/princess/girlwholivestoshop charms that you usually see. I might get them for my sisters or my daughter if I have one someday! For myself I'd get the bicycle, books, sewing machine, the cardinal (a family of cardinals is living in my backyard and I love watching them) and the elephant (it's representative of my personality).

  16. I would *love* to be entered for this giveaway! I was introduced to Origami Owl this spring and I've been admiring (okay, drooling) over their pretties every since! :)

As far as what I'd want to put in my locket... a camera, the lung cancer awareness ribbon (my brother has battled cancer twice, and although it wasn't lung cancer, it was located in his lung), the chai charm (Hebrew for "life"), a guitar, and maybe a coral cameo for color. :)

  18. I loooove these kinds of necklaces and have always wanted one, but can't afford it. This would be so exciting to win!

What I'd put in my locket: A cross to represent my life with Christ, the book charm (love to read!), The "I love my cat" charm and the elephant charm, the 'i love you' postcard to represent my love of letter-writing, and I was really hoping they'd have a sword or knife, but alas, they did not. So that is it, I guess. So many lovely charms!

  19. I'm so in love with those leopard heels! I wish I could find something similar!
Lovely outfit as usual! If I made my own locket, I would put in music notes because of the love and inspiration that music brings to me, the lips charm because of my love for makeup and the symbol of love in general, a cameo for my love for vintage and doggy paws as a tribute to my lovely dog Alma who spent so much of my life with me, but is no longer with us! <3

Thank you for the giveaway, I still am going to check this shop out either way because it's something new and very unique! :) x
