What I Wore | Stripes & Jeans (+Free Country Jacket Review)

::What I'm Wearing::
Stripe Tee Shirt -- Forever 21
Jeans -- Secondhand
Moccasin -- Payless Shoes
Silver Hoop Earrings -- JCP
Slope Softshell Jacket -- c/o Free Country
Nail Polish -- Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Breezy Blue

We had such gorgeous weather today that us kids rode our bikes to our neighborhood playground this afternoon -- that was fun! Today's outfit is very simple & low-key. I wore a simple stripe tee (sadly some holes are appearing in it), with just my most casual pair of jeans, simple hoop earrings, and moccasins for that comfy & relaxed look. At times there was a cool wind, so I threw on my new Free Country jacket (which is good at blocking wind) -- which is perfect for those cooler spring days.

A few weeks ago, Free Country asked me to review the product of my choice, I chose the Woman's Slope Softshell Jacket thinking it would be perfect for those windy spring days. Let me share with y'all a list of my thoughts on wearing this coat in different weather conditions.
  • The coat isn't that good at keeping you warm when it snowing & there is a strong wind.
  • It is good at keeping your skirt/dress from flying up because of the longer length.
  • It does helps block the wind from getting you too cold when sitting out at a baseball game.
  • Overall, I'd say it is best for 48 to low 60s degree weather with either: wind, rain, or just a cool sunny day.
Another thing I like about the coat, how stylish & sliming it looks when worn, as I dislike wearing bulky coats. Also, the lining is so soft -- love it!

Hey! I'm seriously considering a 15x15 or 30x30 remix challenge very soon (April 14th). Would any of you like to join in? Should I make it a blog event, or would you just like to watch me? Thoughts? Ideas? You can see my past challenges here: Summer of 2012 & Summer of 2011. This event would include a no shopping rule too, for either 15 or 30 days (depending on which challenge I went with).

    P.S. I'd also love it if you would do another Doctor Who challenge! I didn't participate in the last one you did, and am greatly regretting it now!
