TV/Movie Inspired Fashion Event // 1900s - 1920s {Day 1}

Are y'all ready for day one of the TV/Movie Inspired Fashion Event? (I need to come up with a shorter name. Ideas?) I hope you are ready, for today's theme is 1900s - 1920s which gives you/us a wide range of period dramas to choose from. Today I picked the '90s TV Show Christy for my inspiration today, which is a show set in the early 1900s. I've adored Christy Huddleston's wardrobe for years -- ever since I first saw the show, but I don't remember when that was. For a majority part of of the show Christy is wearing a skirt, blouse, and sometimes accessorizes with either a belt or tie/scarf -- very pretty and feminine.
What I'm Wearing
Blouse -- April Cornell
Edwardian Skirt -- Made by Me
Cardigan -- Forever 21
Belt -- Forever 21
Oxford Heels -- Forever 21
Earrings -- Little Black Bag
Lipstick -- Revlon "Pink in the Afternoon"
Nail Polish -- Essence in "Modern Romance"

You can link up your 1900s - 1920s inspired outfit below. Remember to link to your outfit post, and not your main blog address. Thanks!

Adorable outfit, Ashley! Very 'Christy', from what I can see, as I've never whatched the movie.

  3. Darling! I'm feeling heavily inspired by Miss Potter right now, especially as the weather today is what I always call 'Beatrix Potter weather' Misty, and mossy, with raw blowing clouds.

Anyways... getting my post ready and the title 'Inspired by Film' seemed to flow nicely... just a thought. :)

This is going to be so much fun! I probably won't be able to do every day, but looking forward to reading along! Thanks for hosting!

  4. Beautiful outfit, Ashley!

I was wondering... I was sick yesterday, so I was not able to take my photos or post them for Day 1. Would you except it if I did it know and linked it up?

    Thanks!

Anyway...for some reason the linky isn't working for me. I keep getting a weird 404 error message every time I click on it. :/ so here's the link to my post! I'll try and link it up again tomorrow!

  10. again!!!! I love this and now I have to rewatch that show. I rarely got a chance to ever see it while growing up because my dad hogged the TV so I stayed away from trying after 1992. . .so these shows pretty much were hard for me to see. I love this outfit you are wearing.
