The third day of the TV/Movie Inspired Fashion Event is already here, can y'all believe it? This week is going to go so fast! I was hoping to get my post for today up sooner, but I've been busy rearranging all of the furniture in my room today. With that in mind let me share my 1950s inspired outfit for today. Alright, I knew with all the work I would be doing today pencil skirts were out of the question, as were any actual vintage dresses -- I wanted something easy to move around in & wouldn't get ruined moving & lifting stuff. Enter my inspiration for today, Audrey Hepburn's character, Princess Ann in Roman Holiday -- which btw, is one of my favorite movies! ♥♥♥
I wore my simple 1950s circle skirt that I had made (was it last year, or the year before?) during Casey's circle skirt sew-along. Then I added my refashioned white blouse, blue cardigan, and for accessories I wore my new favorite LBB earrings & simple flats.
What I'm Wearing
Blouse -- Refashioned '80s blouse
Circle Skirt -- Made by Me
Cardigan -- Target
Flats -- Steve Madden
Earrings -- Little Black Bag
You can link up your 1950s inspired outfit below. Remember to link to your outfit post, and not your main blog link. Thanks!
Ashley, I LOVE your outfit! The contrast of the yellow and blue is gorgeous, and the lace on the blouse and the flowers on the skirt add so much interest.

So my computer has been down and I missed all the details on this event! Is it ANY movie? Or is it any movie in the 1950's?? I'd love to participate! Wish I'd seen it sooner!

@Natasha -- For Tuesday the theme was any movie/TV show that is set in the 1950s, today's theme is the 1960s. You can see all of the details about the event here: http://www.bramblewoodfashion.com/2013/02/tvmovie-inspired-fashion-event.html
