One Skirt ❘ Three Days ❘ Day 3

What Ashley is Wearing: Refashioned Polka-Dot Skirt made by me // Tee, Cardigan, Nude Heels Target // Vintage Clutch Mrs. Amber Apple // Earrings LC for Kohl's // Pearl Necklace gift

What Gabrielle is Wearing: denim a-line skirt made by me // coral tee Target // gray sweater Target // necklace 'ZAD via LBB // brown belt Maurices // brown heels Target

Today is the last day of the One Skirt ❘ Three Days event. How very sad. I've grown attached my polka-dot skirt it will be strange to not wear it tomorrow. *smile* Anyways, as you can see, Gaby & I are posing together for today's outfit. We are also wearing the same tops {just different colors} that we bought yesterday at Target on our shopping trip with our mom. We are also wearing our new heels - once again from Target {and yes, we bought them yesterday}. Umm....if you can't tell Target is our favorite store. We are almost walking ads for them.

I'll be spending the afternoon/evening reading all of your posts, making a mocha frap for Gaby & I, and watching the Detroit Tigers game.

One Skirt ❘ Three Days ❘ Day 2 {Gray Sweater}

What I am wearing: jeans second-hand from a friend // gray sweater Target // black tank J.C. Penny // turquoise necklace Forever 21 // black oxford heels Payless Shoes

Do you know what happens when the photographer becomes the photographed? A ton of awkward photos! Anyway, I choose the most presentable of the lot. I do give a lot of credit to my brother who makes me feel more natural in front of the camera. He took today's photos. I think he is amazing.

I went shopping with my mom and Ashley today. Stopped at Target. Yeah, we shop there a lot. If you see something familiar in tomorrow's outfit you will know why.... I wasn't sure how comfortable my heels were going to be out shopping, but they were lovely! The heel helped keep my pant leg from being soaked in puddles. Besides you feel so sophisticated shopping in heels. I am fully in love with my cardigan now. The color is perfect.

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person. -Audrey Hepburn

One Skirt ❘ Three Days ❘ Day 2

What I'm Wearing: Refashioned Polka-Dot Skirt made by me // Belt Vintage // Necklace Forever 21 // Coral Tee & Heels Target

Like my sister Gaby, I love the colors coral & turquoise together. They are just so bright & happy together and if you throw some polka-dots into the mix - oh my, you have one happy girl here. If you can't tell from header, I have a slight obsession with polka-dots. Whenever I enter a store I always spot all the polka-dots right away - its a sixth sense I have. *laughs*

This morning my outfit for today was way too similar to yesterday's outfit - I had just added a different top, a necklace, and changed my earrings & hairstyle. To change the look of the outfit more I changed my belt {goodbye knotted belt! *sheds a few tears*} and took off my new black cardigan. Giving my outfit a different look and not the that's-so-yesterday's outfit look. *grin*

One Skirt ❘ Three Days ❘ Day 1 {Gray Sweater}

What I am wearing: pinks skirt gift (I got this six years ago and it has undergone three refashions to the waist part) // purple top Anthropologie // brown belt Maurices // brown ruffle heels Madden Girl (Famous Footwear) // grey sweater Target // thistle necklace Khols // ring gift

So, I was going to do a denim skirt for this challenge but mine wasn't washed. [No explanation needed.] Then I was going to do the skirt I am wearing in these pictures. But I finally decided that I was going to do the sweater for the simple reason that I would most likely be wearing it all three days anyway. So, am I alone? Anyone else doing a sweater? I didn't think so. But, hey, it's on the cool side where I live. If you can't tell, the sun was blinding me when I was getting my pictures taken which made me even more uncomfortable being in front of the camera. Photographers always prefer being behind the camera. I am excited to see how I can change the look of the sweater. Maybe I shall borrow some super fun and cute necklaces from Ashley, or I could show off the necklace she bought me for my birthday. I'll leave you with this picture.
[Life is fantastic... so smile! Even when you have tears in your eyes from the bright sunlight. I love to laugh.]

One Skirt ❘ Three Days ❘ Day 1 {Polka-dot Skirt}

What I'm Wearing: Refashioned Polka-Dot Skirt made by me // Belt Forever 21 // Tee, Cardigan, Earrings, and Heels Target

Wow! I could be an ad for Target today. Once and awhile I have outfits like that usually for Target, Kohl's, JCPenny, and Forever 21. Anyways, today is the first day of One Skirt ❘ Three Days ❘ Three Bloggers and as you can see, my polka-dot skirt won! At first I was like, "I kinda want to wear my Shabby Apple skirt." But now I'm so glad this skirt won because that means I can wear some things I bought from Target this week. Because guess what? They match this skirt!' *grin* I don't know about you, but I love to wear new clothes right away and all the time.

Since I've been ask several times how I knot my belts I decided to film a quick how-to video.

Modest Prom Dress Choices

So I've been asked recently to do a post on modest prom dress choices. I thought, why not?

1) Pleased to See Hue 2) Belle in Bronze 3) Some Enchanted Afternoon 4) Draped Darling Dress

Here are four choices from Modcloth. Though some of them haven't been released yet - hopefully they will be released soon. If you are looking for a non-strapless dress do try out Modcloth. You can find different lengths on the site {they're just aren't that many floor length dresses on the site}.

If you want a floor length dress that isn't strapless the only advice I have is you can either sew your dress or find a vintage dress online, in a thrift store, vintage clothing shop, etc...

This amazing outfit! I'm pretty sure the necklace is from J.Crew, the heels are from ALDO, and that the purse is Steve Madden {this is all just guesses}. It's just the dress I don't know where it is from {I've also seen it in black on people around town}!

Love the colors, clothes, setting...well, just everything!

What I Wore - I Feel Pretty

What I'm Wearing: Floral Blouse H&M // Denim Pencil Skirt c/o Kosher Casual // Oxford Heels, Necklace, Earrings, Belt, and Sheer Tights Forever 21 // Leaf Bracelets 'ZAD via Little Black Bag

Earlier this month Kosher Casual contacted me about doing a product review of their company. As you can see, I said yes. I looked over everything on their site and finally decided on this denim pencil skirt. I picked it for a number of reasons. 1st) You can never have too many pencil skirts {denim too}. 2nd) It has an adjustable waistband {I wish more ready-made clothes had this}. 3rd) I loved that it had pockets and belt loops.

This skirt came from Israel {that was so much fun!} and it arrived within a week once they shipped it out - I wasn't expecting it to come that fast! It is of good quality and fits well. For sizing reference I went with my hips measurement {size Large}. That made me so nervous. Since I'm normally a small in Woman's sizing {Medium for Juniors}. But this when the adjustable waist comes in handy, I just made the waist as small as possible to fit me at my waist. I can easily see this skirt becoming a staple for me - be prepared to see it styled a lot in the coming months as you can dress it up or down.
