What I Wore | Gingham & Stripes

What I'm Wearing: Gingham Blouse About a Girl at Kohl's // Striped Tee Forever 21 // Bubble Necklace Ebay // Skinny Jeans Forever 21 // Boots Bass Shoe Outlet // Bow Post Earrings Forever 21 // ChuckStrong Bracelet

I just realized as I was editing & writing this post that my outfit for today supports our local football team, the Indianapolis Colts. From the colors of my outfit, down to the ChuckStrong bracelet. I didn't intend to do that as I found the inspiration for this outfit on Pinterest. Anyhow, today we went to a book sale and I found a bunch of great stuff! I'll eventually do either a picture post, or video haul of everything I found at the sale, but here are a few sneak peeks to what I bought: That Printer of Udell's by Harold Bell Wright {1903}, The Turn of the Tide by: Eleanor H. Porter {1908}, and Hellcats of the Navy {1957} with Ronald Reagan & Nancy Davis.

I better get going. We are going to be having people over soon for the Multiply gathering web stream hosted by Francis Chan & David Platt tonight.

  2. Oh, that copy of "the printer of Udell's" has me jelous!! I've started collecting his books, slowly, and I apsolutly love Harold Bell Wright. His books are so sweet and down to earth. I especially love books that are
100+ years old. It just makes reading them that much better. :)

  6. Love all the blues together!! Extra cute. I was actually thinking about wearing a t-shirt over one of my blouses- and from the way that your wearing it, it looks like my idea may work!!
Did you know that "That Printer of Udell's" is actually reprinted by Lamplighter (a company which republishes old, christian, books, or at least ones with a strong, good moral to them) I've read the reprint by Lamplighter, and it was a wonderful book!! Definitely a good read!

  7. Thanks so much everyone!

@Becca Anne -- I adore collecting old books way better then new ones. I've never read any of his books yet, only knew of this title because of Lamplighter Publishing. :)

@Natasha -- Not at all. I got it for around $10 + free shipping. :)

@Charlotte Boyer -- Yes, I did know that Lamplight reprint it, that was what made be buy the book since I've never read it. In fact, I love collecting original copies of books that Lamplight republishes.
