Friday was the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. I did watch it and have some favorite moments. One of the highlights for me was the video of the Queen & James Bond. Simply epic. I've been trying to find a video of it on YouTube but no such luck so far.
I'm hoping to do a post on my favorite uniforms from Friday night too, once I can find pictures of all the ones I loved. It is just so hard to find pictures right now. No clue why. Maybe I'm searching wrong.

Alright, we finally have a winner for the last giveaway I did. After much difficultly contacting different girls about winning the giveaway, Jenna K. will be the winner for the beautiful earrings. Congratulations once again, Jenna! :)

For the month of August, all Large & Medium ad sponsors will have the option to do a guest post. Also, I have a coupon code, August15 for 15% off all ad sizes. The code will only work 4 times and the code expires after August 2nd.
---------------------------------------------
I've really been into thrifting lately. I even filmed a haul showing everything I found in the above video. I've also really been into filming more videos lately, I think it is because I'm starting to become comfortable talking in front of a camera. *smile*
---------------------------------------
I also want to say thank you to all of my sponsors for supporting me this month! If you haven't checked them out yet, please do so {they are on the right sidebar}. They are all pretty awesome. You knows, you might a new favorite blog to follow?

Congrats on your thrift store "booty"! Looks like you found several nice versatile pieces this time around (some good brands, too).
ReplyDeleteA couple thoughts on the "blouse to refashion":
~The ribbons in back may have been meant to tie in front, like a bowtie.
~You said the sleeves were a bit "puffy"--you might try shortening them and adding either a binding or cuff to gather them to, creating a cute little puff-sleeve, if that's your thing.
*Shurg* My two cents. I tweak ready-made clothes all the time, so the wheels are always turning in my head. :-P Whatever you decide, have fun with it!
God bless,
~"Wild Rose"~
I posted a few opening ceremony outfits and Olympic fashion myself on http://rubyeyedokapi.com yesterday. Which countries did you like?
