Guest Post - Cari {The Skinny Olive Blog}

   Hey everyone! I'm Cari from The Skinny Olive Blog. Ashley was nice enough to join up with me and help promote my very first guest post. Be sure to check out my blog for more posts on fashion, beauty, blogging, and D.I.Y.! Let's get started:

   I recently purchased this adorable denim button-up on sale for $19.99 from Banana Republic. Major steal. I'm very interested in fashion, but I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't come naturally to me. Almost every new piece of clothing that I buy sits in my closet for a week or two until I can create a few outfits for it. So, after some mixing and matching, and a very big closet mess, I found three great ways to rock a denim shirt. Hope you enjoy!
  1. Wear it with a POP of color. Lately I've been really into pastels, especially mint and coral. Colors like this are a great (and easy) way to put a quirky spin on a basic piece like a denim shirt. (Skirt: Express. Scarf: Target. Purse: Mod Style.)
  2. Dress down a business ensemble. This is a personal favorite of mine when I have plans after work, but no time to drive home and change in-between. Just slip off the business blazer, throw on a statement necklace, and you're good to go! (Skirt: Plato's Closet. Blazer: Gap.)
  3. Tie the ends and match with a loud dress. Pairing something super casual with it's complete opposite creates a mix-match look that I'm in love with. Don't be afraid to think out of the box! (Dress: Poema.)

Thanks, Cari! I love the three ways you styled the denim button down. Very cute. By the way, yesterday I did a guest post DIY post on Cari's blog that y'all might want to check out!
