Internet Archive

My very favorite website with free resources is Internet Archive. You will find TV Shows, Movies, Music, Radio Shows, and Books that are in the Public Domain to download onto your computer. What bliss!

What kind of Radio shows do y'all enjoy? Maybe you like one of the following? They are some of my favorites.

How about music? Do you like the oldies from the 30s, 40s, and 50s? Why don't you check and see if your favorite singers are available on Internet Archive. Here are some that I have found already for y'all:

  1. Your tagged!

Hello, this is Blue from Blue Satin Sashes (satinsashes.tumblr.com), and I have tagged you the random question tag! Okay, here it is:

So what you do is answer these eight questions,
and then write your own eight questions and tag people to answer them.

    1. What do you imagine being, other than your plain 'ol everyday self?

    2. Is there something you've tried before...a dare, a certain food, a hard project,
anything...that you would never dream of doing again?

    3. Is there a book that you've read at least five times from beginning to end?

    4. Do you have a special little weakness...that you just can't live without, and that gives you much happiness when obtained? [chocolate, shoes, something like that.]

    5. Do you prefer fast food or pizza?

    6. Have you ever gotten "dressed up" in a historical costume? for what occasion?

    7. Have you ever stayed up ALL night?

    8. Do you prefer men singers or women singers? Soprano, mezzos/baritones, tenors?

So, I just wanted to tell you that I love your blog, both this one and your Tumblr. They are very cute! I look forward to seeing your answers! :)

  3. Internet Archive is amazing!
I love old radio shows, classic movies and tv, and the oldies singers=)
My favorite radio shows are Lux, Screen Director's Playhouse, Ozzie and Harriet, and Roy Rogers. I need to try Sherlock Holmes...
Singers? Judy Garland, Ricky Nelson, Bing Crosby and The Sons of the Pioneers for sure!
And I love The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, the Dick Van Dyke Show, and The Adventures of Robin Hood=)
I was amazed at the number of wonderful films that are in the public domain! Santa Fe Trail, His Girl Friday and Penny Serenade are three of my favorites, although I like all of the ones you've listed. Have you seen Made for Each Other? That's with Jimmy Stewart and Carole Lombard. Very good:)
Sorry for the long comment, but I love the classics;)

  4. I LOVE The Dick Van Dyke Show also! I mostly watch the oldies shows, because they're usually more wholesome than many of the newer ones.

  6. I love the Internet Archive! ^^
I didn't know you could find music, on there, though...so I'm pretty excited about that! I'll also have to check out some of your recommendations.

Have you seen the episodes of "Your Hit Parade" that they have on there? It has a bunch of the popular songs from the time paired with dancing.(: They're really fun to watch.
