Blog Award Time

I figured it was about time I posted all the awards Bramblewood Fashion was given in February and March. Late I know. =)

I have been award the Stylish Blogger Award, three times, The Versatile Blogger and the 7 Facts Blog Award.

Thank you, Shealynn, Nina, Riah, and Amber!! =)

The rules:

1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
2. Write seven things about yourself.
3. Pass on to seven other bloggers.
4. Tell the seven awardees of their award!

For the awards I will just do seven random things about myself. As I don't think I can come up 35 random different things. :p

1. My mom taught me how to sew the basics. But I learned how to sew clothing/costumes on my own through books and websites/blogs.

2. Peppermint is my favorite flavor ever.

3. Growing up one of my favorite TV shows was Liberty Kids. Anyone watch that show?

4. I use to hate dark chocolate and milk chocolate was only ok. I only liked white chocolate. Now it has switched. I adore dark & milk chocolate and dislike white. :p

5. I have been to London, UK. It was for Mrs. Chancey's first Historical Costume Trip. {my posts are here.}

6. I love collecting patterns. I have over 200 right now {modern/vintage/costume}. I also love collection vintage magazines and books.

7. My favorite era for movies are the 1940s.

  1. HI Ashley, Congrats on all the fun awards.

oh, Liberty's Kids...yes I did watch that cartoon and I'm a grown-up. I LOVED it because of it's historical value :) :) I haven't been able to see it in awhile, because I dont' get the channell, that it airs on...but what a great show :) :)

That's neat that you have taught yourself so much about sewing :) :) That's how it was for me with knitting. I did have some help from friends at the beginning, especially learning how to cast-on stitches. Otherwise, I learned from books and videos :) :)

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  2. I love Liberty's kids!My little siblings get videos of it from the library from time to time and I watch it with them!

  3. I remember the Liberty Kids. ☺ I haven't seen that show in long time.

  4. I used to love Liberty Kids! My dad even got me a CD-ROM game. Boy, was that a long time ago!

  5. Oh, neat-o!!

Yes, I love liberty Kids! We watched it growing up, too, and then found it on Netflix. Some of it wasn't THAT great, but still pretty cute. :)

HOW COOL! that you went to London. Totally awesome. :)

Yeah, I have practically done the same thing in sewing, though mom is still really good. I am just more of the creative, daring type. lol! and I love sewing costumes. The only prblem... fabric. ;) It is rather expensive now-a-days.. :(

    Thanks for sharing! Sarah
PS I will have your bath set sent ASAP.. we got busy with bull sales (still have two more) and then I can get it mixed up and sent. :) sorry about the delay!

  6. I love Liberty Kids! I still watch the re-runs sometimes!

  7. What fun things about yourself, Ashley!
    Have a lovely weekend~
    Much love,

  8. My siblings and I just finished watching the entire Liberty's Kids series. We really enjoyed them, however I might have a post coming up about the opening lyrics. Very worldly :( . The episodes themselves were great though.

I was the same way with chocolate. Dark chocolate rules!

  9. You are so talented! I hope you are having a great weekend!

  10. I used to watch Liberty Kids! Too bad it's not on anymore. :(

  11. I /love/ Liberty's Kids! My Mom, my sister and I used to watch it all the time, until it stopped airing on the station we got. Even though we were grown, we still really enjoyed it because of the historical lessons, and the great way in which they were taught. I can still quote Ben Franklin from his quotes they had on that show!
I agree with the comment from A Still Small Voice though - we didn't really like the music.

  12. My sister and I used to LOVE Liberty Kids! In fact it was on a week or so ago and I watched some of it. I had forgotten about it (except, you know, for the occasional thought) and it was fun to see it again!! :) Great history lessons.
