Sew Through the Decades Challenge, Week Six: 1950's

Well, remember that 1950s pajama set I was making awhile back? I finally finished them. Even if they are a little late for the Sew Through the Decades Challenge on A Lemon Squeezy Home.  =) If you can't tell, I'm in a huge sewing mood right now. Which is great!

Using "Ava Rose" fabric, vintage buttons, rick-rack from the 50s, and a vintage 1950s pattern.

I love the finished result. Even though I did make a mistake with cutting out the fabric for the top. =)

  1. Adorable! Even though I'm not usually into pink. :) I especially love the bottoms, with the little ties.

  2. Neat! I love using ric rack on retro garments, because it looks so out of place on the modern ones. Hehe... glad I'm not the only one who makes cutting mistakes! I couldn't tell yours, though. :)

  4. Oh, my goodness, those are super cute!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fabric choices. I've been seeing lots of patterns for sale at yard sales...and I haven't bought any...mainly because they're not my size...BUT now I may have to rethink that. The pajama set turned out beautiful!! Have a great week. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
